A Vibrant Culinary Journey at Warung Local

Warung Local is an Indonesian gem that promises a delightful culinary experience. Nestled amidst the bustling roadside, this vibrant eatery offers a tantalizing array of Indonesia's finest dishes, accompanied by a lively atmosphere that showcases the true essence of local culture.

The highlight of Warung Local is undoubtedly its superb Indonesian cuisine. From traditional favorites to regional specialties, the menu is a treasure trove of flavors that will leave your taste buds in awe. Whether you're craving aromatic rendang, spicy sambal, or fragrant nasi goreng, Warung Local delivers authentic dishes that capture the essence of Indonesian gastronomy.

The decor at Warung Local is equally impressive. The vibrant and artistic ambiance reflects the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia. Intricate wall murals, colorful textiles, and traditional artifacts create an immersive dining environment that transports you to the heart of the archipelago. It's a feast for the eyes and adds to the overall dining experience.

As with any roadside eatery, the noise level at Warung Local can be a bit high. The proximity to the road means that traffic sounds and honking can occasionally intrude upon the dining experience. However, the lively atmosphere and energetic vibe of the place make it an exciting and bustling spot to enjoy your meal.

One thing to note is that due to its popularity, Warung Local tends to be quite busy. Locals and tourists alike flock to this culinary haven, eager to savor the superb Indonesian flavors. It's advisable to plan your visit accordingly and be prepared for potential crowds. Despite the bustling nature of the restaurant, the staff members remain attentive and strive to provide friendly service.

In conclusion, Warung Local is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Indonesian dining experience. The delectable cuisine, vibrant decor, and lively atmosphere combine to create a memorable journey through the diverse flavors of Indonesia. While the roadside location may introduce some noise, the overall ambiance and bustling energy make it a cool and happening spot for locals and tourists alike. Despite the lovely atmosphere and very kind staff, both myself, my girlfriend and her sister all got VERY SICK after dinner at Warung Local Pecatu on Monday night.

We ordered Nasi Campur but there was almost no food left (at 7:30PM, during rush hour mind you) and it felt like we were eating leftovers. At least it looked like the food had been sitting there for ages. I should have followed my gut instinct and walked away.

As a result we all got a bad stomach ache and diarrhoea, still ongoing fyi.

I’ve been in Bali for 5 months and this is actually my first time getting this sick to the stomach so I’m not very happy about that and definitely not going back there to eat.

Maybe for a juice and atmosphere yes but definitely not for the food.

Also, one last observation for management: I find it quite unacceptable that customers only get three small rendang pieces of beef. Might as well not serve it at all or just give rendang sauce then without beef.

If that’s your break even, then increase your price for rendang beef. A normal portion like any other place would be at least 5 - 6 pieces.

To conclude I strongly advise you DO NOT EAT HERE until they fix their Health & Safety standard and food quality. Or choose your dishes very wisely. Definitely not the Campur.

I wonder if these places get proper food regular (or no) inspection from the local government? Because this is not the first post of customers getting sick / Bali Belly...

Two star review for a few reasons. I think the current rating is misleading. The line out the door persuaded me to come here despite there being only westerners inside. I should have known that it wouldn’t be a very authentic warung, so honestly, it’s my own fault. I think it made it worse that I did visit an authentic warung for lunch and the price was significantly less for much more food. This was double the price for less food. If the food had been outstanding, I could justify the price. But it was very mid. The “beef rendang” just tasted like stewed beef and the portion was small. I’ve had rendang many times in Sumatra and Java and this tasted nothing like it. It was a bit bland. Nothing was wrong with it, it just wasn’t rendang, so I don’t see the need to pay more than the normal price for one that is not as good. I don’t see a need to pay the same price for as a western meal for mid Indonesian food when there are plenty of better places for cheaper. The portion sizes I received weren’t very large. For the price, you’d expect a little more. Also, things like rice and green chili sambal aren’t usually extra at the real places.

Caveat: the only reason I can see why people come here is for the ambiance. It is a nice place and easy to order/ not as intimidating for a westerner as an authentic warung. Also, the service was good and the...

💵49.000 Nasi Campur Package Nyoman 💵25.000 Es Campur It's A Local Food and Concept but Not Local Taste I am Balinese and decided to try this warung while I was in Uluwatu. This warung labels itself as a local warung, but it's not so local. As predicted, there were more foreigners than locals, but it's not a problem. The concept was good and same like the really local warung in city like Nasi Padang, Warung Tegal, etc. The things we should appreciate is the price. It was pretty cheap for warung that located in tourist area and it had a big portion. The menus were very varied, started from rice, noodles, beef, chicken, seafood, side dishes, and veggies. But I was really concerned about the taste of the food. I was there for dinner around 7 PM and the rice I got was cold and too dry. Same like the other foods, although there were still many dishes available. The beef menus were delicious, but the beef balado was not spicy. This was the least spicy balado I have ever eaten. The corn fritter and perkedel kentang were so tough. The omelette and jackfruit veggies were good but cold. The Es Campur had less fruit and too much ice with less water/syrup. That's why I said it was not so local. The concept and price were, but the tastes of the food were adjusted to suit the foreigners' palate. Thank you

This restaurant offers a prasmanan (buffet-style) dining experience where you select your own dishes, and the price is based on the side dishes you choose. They provide four base options: fragrant yellow rice, noodles, brown rice, and white rice. While the texture of the rice is decent, the side dishes and vegetables are disappointing. I had white rice with several sides: the eggplant had no taste, the corn fritters were tough and not fresh, and the potato fritters lacked flavor. The beef was tough, cold, and bland. Even the sambal was not spicy. the cutlery was not clean and had a fishy smell. From the display window, the food looked appetizing, but the actual taste was very disappointing. I do not recommend this warung. If you want to try similar local food, I suggest visiting Warung Stop Makan in Jimbaran. it’s much better than this place. but concept of this restaurant and name is good, but they need to improve the taste of food, if they want to sustain.
