I had high expectations before visiting this place because of the high rating on Google but I was one of the unlucky ones who had a bad and disappointing experience here.
Fried calamari - the sauce was good but calamari was tasteless (definitely below average).
Carbonara - the homemade spaghetti was really good but the bacons are way too salty which ruined the whole dish.
Order the most expensive item which is chef’s special “Steak with Garlic Prawn Cream Sauce” - read the description, “topped with a flavoured tiger prawn” vs. what we received was 4 pieces of small prawns dipped in the cream sauce. 100% NOT true to picture and felt cheated. Immediately gave feedback to the service staff and later on the restaurant manager came with an explanation “this is the size of the tiger prawn because the head and tail was peeled off etc”…I mean common, just Google it, you will see why it’s called “tiger prawn”! She apologised but asked if I want to order something else on the menu. After having the calamari and pasta, I said NO. She left then came back with another explanation “the reason that your dish looked different is because you asked the sauce to be on the side”… I replied “but I didn’t ask the prawn to be on the side and in the sauce?“ I was really taken aback by her explanation and weak ground for arguing back! She again apologised and I felt that it was insincere. After sharing my thoughts about the calamari and pasta and told her that I’m gonna write an honest review on Google, her attitude changed. Quickly cleared my plates (I finished my food and she did ask me if she could clear) and walked off. No service recovery other than insisting that I should order something else. She even insisted that they have very good reviews and other customers are enjoying their food 🤷🏽♀️ oh well, I was just unlucky I guess??
To be fair, the service staffs are super welcoming, polite and patient! I have no complaints about the service and the atmosphere. But definitely not value for money, paying a premium price for food that is below average (overall experience).

Wish you all the best for being so sarcastic about people’s feedback and giving groundless arguments again and again!...
Read moreWe heard many good things about here and after seeing the reviews on here wanted to give it a try with my girlfriend. Here is a short summary of our experience:
The food was OK. I've had much better before, but still can't say it was bad. Our problem was with the service and waitress.
Due to an electricity problem the lights in the garden went down, which was NO BIG DEAL for us. However in just 5 minutes the staff came to our table 3 times and tried to move us to the common table inside, even though we said we don't want it each time. After the second time it was pretty insincere and disturbing. After the 3rd time, we said OK and moved in unwillingly, so they can finish closing the garden earlier.
What happened inside was a shock. At around 22:00, one of our friends came to visit us for a drink, and we all ordered new drinks. They served us our drinks, and then we went outside to smoke. When we came back, they've taken my friends half full glass (!) without asking or anything. At this point we were the only people left in the restaurant, and they made us feel we should leave so they can close the restaurant and go home.
As a restauranteur myself, I've never seen this kind of behavior before in my life. It was so rude and unacceptable. If you're gonna close the shop, don't serve us the drinks. You just can't collect one's half full drinks without any confirmation! If you serve the drinks, you can't rush us to leave, specially after eating 4 dishes, having a bottle of wine and 3 cocktails.
Dear owner, I respect your efforts and know how difficult to run a restaurant is, but please train your staff better and teach them the basics of good hospitality. It's not about smiling and repeating orders, but giving a pleasant overall experience and the way they treated us still makes us angry when I...
Read moreThough I am close with the relatives that own this restaurant, I promise that this isn't a biased review. I really admire the quality and details of the restaurants I visit and this one caught my eye. I had just visited twice at this point but both times are very memorable. The food that they serve is delicious. I haven't tried that much meals yet but their hand cut fries really stood out to me for some reason. It's just fries but they make it so well 😅. As for drinks, I'm not at all an alcoholic drinker but my father (who does drink alcohol occasionally) said that the alcoholic drinks are really nice. My friend recommended me the mozzarella balls and I do have to say that they are very nice. The ratio of cheese and dough is perfect, along with the tomato purée (I think thats what it is) that the balls sit on top of. The flavors blend nicely and is also plated very neatly. The staff are also really kind and helpful. I also want to point out the very nice music taste this place has. It's just a coincidence that I knew of all the songs they played and all of them are actually in my playlist, but the music was so nice and I personally had such an amazing time. The volume was also perfect. I find that some restaurants blast their music and would make it hard to talk, but it was perfect here and the sound quality of the speakers were really good too.
I would also like to highlight the hygiene of this place. I stayed here till closing time and I absolutely admired how they scrubbed every single inch of the tables and floors of the place. They apparently do this every closing time and it is really admirable even though that is the standard I assume, but nowadays a lot of restaurants fail to fulfill this. Kudos to rf 🤙
Overall I enjoyed my time there and will...
