Hands Down the BEST Korean Food in Bali! If youโre craving hot soup, they have. If youโre craving spicy noodles, they have. If youโre craving kimchi, Banchan, tteokbokki, or evening kimbap, this is the place for you.
Our friends suggested this place to us only recently and we have already gone 2x in the past 2 weeks! Thatโs great news in my book as you always want people coming back for more.
So far we have tried pretty much everything on the menu... Budae jiggae, kimchi jiggae, So bulgogi, Gun Mandu, HaeMul Pajeon, Dolsot BimBimbap, Bossam, Baekkan, Combo set fried chicken... and the list goes on...
Everything has been super tasty and we really canโt fault any dish. The soups change daily which is nice and there is always yummy Banchan paired with your meal. Staff is super attentive and it all feels super homey and right.
The only thing that we havenโt tried is the bbq meats but that is something that we hope to try in the near future as when we see other tables get it, itโs all just so delicious looking. Downside is leaving smelling like your food.
Highly recommend checking it out as it it centrally located Bali near Galleria Mall. It has plenty of seating, but could get busy on weekends so...
ย ย ย Read moreNot too sure of the experience of others, but growing in a part of town in Vancouver with a large Korean community, I got to taste of a lot of different foods.
I was craving Korean food tonight with my gf and we ordered the KFC and the tteokbokki and Doenjang jkigae. The soup was too salty and spicy, without letting the rest of the ingredients soak in that flavor. Beef bits was a tad tough for me. Too bad no tofu in it either. The tteokbokki was less spicy and more salty. The kimchi lacked that punch and heat I expect while getting that nice fermented taste. The KFC.. bit too much batter and bland on taste. Was also expecting more flavor profile from all the other reviews.
All in all left a tad bit disappointed and didn't fill in the hole I had for authentic Korean food while in Bali. Of course, they might have had to cater to local palates and also this was quite late, perhaps close to closing. The noodles we wanted was also...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is Bali, not authentic Korea, so try not to compare. The parking lot is brightly lit and staffed for helpfulness with some awesome guys. The kitchen staff & serving hosts (Diah, the smile behind the mask) impressed us enough for this review and to plan to return.
There is seating inside and outside and both are spacious and clean. As we were a party of five, there was a variety of items ordered with Banchan (small item side dishes).
Gimbap; pork belly grilling with veggies; Jjajangmyeon; Sogogi-ttukbul; tasty mechurial-jorim; plenty rice; Soju; Bintang; water; and there is a small pitcher of cold tea FREE for the whole table.
Although there was a slow start to getting our beverages, I attributed that to minimal staffing, but once the food arrived - all was good. I love Kimchi (but personally not a fan of the one served). I appreciated that they had a variety of beverages and wines for the variety of persons that...
