Bali Bombing Memorial is a poignant and respectful monument located in Kuta, Bali, honoring the victims of the tragic 2002 Bali bombing. This site serves as a reminder of the lives lost and the resilience of the community.

Highlights: • Memorial Structure: The memorial features a large stone plaque with the names of the victims engraved, surrounded by a peaceful garden with flowers and benches for reflection. • Location: Situated in the heart of Kuta, it’s near the site of the original bombing, making it an important landmark for both locals and visitors. • Commemoration: The memorial is a place for people to pay their respects, and annual ceremonies are held to honor the lives lost.

The Monument to the victims of the Bali Bombs is a must visit place for all who come to Bali. It is a sombre reminder that there is evil in the world..however, this place is a place of peace...it is a very spiritual and moving experience to see so many names..and it is the duty of all travellers I feel, to say a prayer for their souls and to show respect. I am always comforted by the way the monument is so lovingly tended..a truly spiritual and emotional experience for me anytime I visit. I am Australian and so many of my brothers and sisters died near here...I will always remember them. You must pay a visit out of respect for the lives lost... I'm sure you too will feel the spirit of all the...

I go to the monument regularly and offer prayers for the dead. The official death rate is 202 people killed (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, and people of many other nationalities, as well as the bombers. Many additional people died and could not be identified. Those of us who worked on the relief effort were aware of this. Establishing identity requires forensic evidence and where this could not be established remains were cremated. This process continued for up to 12 months after the bombing. I suspect the bulk of those who could not be identified were Indonesian workers in the informal sector and that there are families, to this day, are still waiting for the return of their loved ones.

This place is located right on the middle of Kuta and it is the place where the bombs exploded in 2002 attack. The club that exploded is now a car park and the memorial on the photo below is the opposite side of the road. Take a moment to have a look around and maybe give a second of your time to pay tribute for the people who died on the attack. There are many restaurants and shops around as this is right on the heart of Kuta.

The first bomb terror monument in Bali. This place is really clean and it's free! They added some colorful street lamps that I think that is unnecessary. This place really important to us, Balinese, because the first bomb terror can almost destroy this country. You also can find some mini-markets, cafes, restaurants, and pubs here. One of the most popular pub in Bali, Sky Garden, located about 100m from this monument.
