I go to the monument regularly and offer prayers for the dead. The official death rate is 202 people killed (including 88 Australians, 38 Indonesians, and people of many other nationalities, as well as the bombers. Many additional people died and could not be identified. Those of us who worked on the relief effort were aware of this. Establishing identity requires forensic evidence and where this could not be established remains were cremated. This process continued for up to 12 months after the bombing. I suspect the bulk of those who could not be identified were Indonesian workers in the informal sector and that there are families, to this day, are still waiting for the return of their loved ones.

This place is located right on the middle of Kuta and it is the place where the bombs exploded in 2002 attack. The club that exploded is now a car park and the memorial on the photo below is the opposite side of the road. Take a moment to have a look around and maybe give a second of your time to pay tribute for the people who died on the attack. There are many restaurants and shops around as this is right on the heart of Kuta.

The first bomb terror monument in Bali. This place is really clean and it's free! They added some colorful street lamps that I think that is unnecessary. This place really important to us, Balinese, because the first bomb terror can almost destroy this country. You also can find some mini-markets, cafes, restaurants, and pubs here. One of the most popular pub in Bali, Sky Garden, located about 100m from this monument.

The Bali Memorial was built to Honor those that died in the Bali Bombing of October 12 2002. It is hard to.imagine the carnage that took place. When you see the development that has taken place since that time it is almost as if it never happened. It's something I will never forget, I was there. You can reach this location by walking from Kuta beach. If you drive a car to go there,it can come in the morning ... because the traffic is very heavy at day and night

Korban meninggal hampir 200 dan dari 22 negara termasuk Indonesia, Di tahun 12 oct 2004 Bupati Badung meresmikan tugu peringatan BOM Bali ini untuk mengenang peristiwa itu. Jika melewati Legian - kuta Sempatkan kesini untuk mengirim doa walo kita tidak kenal mereka tapi sebagai umat manusia saling menghargai dan mendoakan itu lebih baik. Semoga korban meninggal tenang disisi-NYA dan keluarga yang ditinggal kan diberi ketabahan.
