been craving some seafood for quite a while and did some research for some seafood restaurant before going to bali!
ended up choosing this place as it seem good + affordable as well🫶🏼
we ordered quite a lot for 2 people lol kerang hijau saos padang cumi cabe garam kangkung cah polos pare telor orak arik udang bakar saos madu
everything was good!!! the kerang hijau was quite huge actually in portion, and the saos padang was just lovely! i just wish it has more kick to the taste though🤏🏼 my bf even said it didn't smell fishy at all! the pare was okay. was a bit hard and a bit bitter, but still acceptable! ended up finishing all by myself🙏 the cumi cabe garam was the winner🫶🏼 it was really good! the fried shallots made it much better, the crunch, the flavor, everything was perfect! will definitely recommend this the kangkung was okay. a bit hard to chew (you know this type of kangkung lol) but okay, definitely not the best the udang bakar saos madu was good! the meat was juicy and chewy, but for me the flavor wasn't that absorbed smh? so you can taste the honey and stuff but once you bite into it, you just taste shrimp.
everything was good!!! costs us 400000 with a bowl of rice +...

The place is run by team behind Apong Seafood, all the way from Makassar city in Sulawesi island, renowned for its seafood culinary. Apong was the best Indonesian chinese seafood restaurant in Bali.
Glad to know they're open again, I've been missing the food here.
Quite an elaborate menu, decent if not reasonably priced, great portion, and good ambiance. Service was alright. Waiting time, probably only 15 mins maximum.
We had ikan kudu kudu, and a few of other items from the menu, loved every dishes as they are unique. Oh and the price was very reasonable.
Location is in Jalan Raya Kuta which is a busy street, it's easy to spot the restaurant with its radiant bright red signboard. Ample parking space for cars and bikes. Payment can be done cash and cards.
Probably the only downside was the air circulation, we're still left with seafood smell on our hair and clothes, no problem, gladly accept the fate, since the food was quite excellent....

The proprietor of the restaurant was seated casually at one of the tables, with a fly swatter and supervising his staff...quite a sight especially when he is swatting flies about! Due to the lack of crowd, our food arrived promptly and the seafood was fresh. Better compared to Jimbaran, in my opinion. Crabs were really fresh and chef was kind enough to carefully crack the shells to make it easier for the customers to dig in. Crab nut crackers are given to aid you. Cutlery is dipped into water for sterilization, chinese style! Do give the sambal a try. Its a real kicker! It starts slow but it will definitely burn you during the after taste. But it goes really well with their dishes. Lemon squash is a refreshing end to your meal,...
