There are 2 choices to dine in here. You can order the set menu from them which price is ranging start from IDR80,000. You can buy the seafood in the local market (kedonganan fish market) at the end of road by yourself and then bring it to new furama to be cooked. For grilled services you need to pay IDR20,000/kg and other cooking services (sweet and sour, padang sauce, etc.) for IDR40,000/kg.
You will get welcome drink and sambal for free. You only needs to order vegetables and beverages to complete your dine in. Overall tastes are good. For light eater like me, the portion and flavour are tasty enough (not too spicy/sweet/salty). I love their sambal matah.
Ingredients I bought at the Kedonganan fish market are: 1 kg of prawn IDR100,000 1.2 kg of ikan ekor kuning (caesionidae) IDR50,000 0.8 kg of ikan kakap (snapper fish) IDR60,000 Total of IDR210,000.
Menus I ordered from New Furama: 1 portion of sauteed pokcoy 1 kelapa muda (young coconut) 2 hot tea 6 portion of rice Grilled service Cook service Total paid to New Furama are IDR220,000.
Number of persons are 7.
It is way much cheaper, but required more effort.
A little tips: please come at 5 or 5.30 PM at the latest during weekdays or low season to enjoy the sunset and to get short cooking time. For weekend or high season, please do the reservation to ensure you get the spot at the seashore instead of the restaurant building and get your food...
Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. We came with our own food to be grilled by them. There were not many customers when we arrived. We had prawns, squid and fish. We sat down and asked for a menu. It took about 15 minutes for them to just bring us a menu. The service here was one of the worst I have ever experienced. When the food was served it was all cold. I am not exaggerating, the squid in particular felt like it had been cooked 20 minutes earlier. We asked why it was cold and they said it was because we did not eat it straight away. Nonsense. What kind of service is that? We gave them 5 squid to cook but somehow we only ended up with 3 on our plate. The vegetables were served about 15 minutes after our seafood. The rice was also cold and had uncooked grains. There was no flavouring in any of the dishes. The only good thing about this place was the sunset view, but I would have had more enjoyment just sitting on the beach and eating corn if I'm honest. Do not recommend. Don't go here, your meal will be ruined. Go to the small restaurants next to the car park by the market. Those ones may not have a great view, but their cooking and service is...
Read moreIt was just recently in late November 2024, we dined in at New Furama Jimbaran Seafood, the last time our visit to Jimbaran beachfront Seafood was back in 2019. A lot of improvement had been made and to our surprise that New Furama Jimbaran Seafood was recommended by our close expatriate friend, a seafood enthusiast that had been living in Bali for 2 years already - so we were kind of confident.
Overall service is great, swift response of crew deemed acknowledged, while they tried their best to deliver with courteous service, sunset-time till early evening had been their busiest period, from taking notes of the order, serving and responding with additional orders, in our experience - all had been superb.
Tastewise, they met our expectation, especially the dishes with clams, which was cooked in a unique way combining curry style roasted clam, and the Padang Sauce Crab, as well as the shrimps, all were satisfactory. In short, our recent visit to this place, brought us back to an enjoyable experience, making us more confident to recommend this...
