Update on our last visit (27/11). We have made a trip (or two....) a must on each of our last few visits. The food remains top quality, but unfortunately we were taken back by the service experience on our last visit. After walking Kuta and Seminyak on a hot November day, we made sure we had a bottle of water each. When we sat down at Romeos, the waiter told us that if we drunk from the water he would charge us. Although I understood the theory of this, I found this to be a little strange especially since we had already decided to order a three course meal with drinks. What added to this was that Romeos was quiet, there were plenty of empty seats... If we hadn't purposely made the effort to eat there, and if I didn't know how good the food was, we would have walked out. A tip from someone who works in the customer service game, don't upset your customers by making punitive demands. A bottle of water, on a hot day, is a good idea... But don't penalise us. The drinks and food were ordered as usual. We are not sure Romeos will remain on our Bali itinerary. Management please fix this, if this is policy change it. Retrain your staff. It's just not worth losing customers.
First visit. Our first experience of this restaurant was having the Barramundi. This dish used Australian Barramundi which was grilled to perfection and was served with mashed potatoes and a raisin pine nut sauce. The mash potato was to die for, the Barramundi as it should be was soft and full of favour. The Barramundi literally melted on the folk. This dish would compete with any fine Australian restaurant. We enjoyed it so much that we came back again for more.
On todays visit we decided to try the Nasi Goreng. This was perfect! As was the entree- salt and pepper calamari and for desert- cheese cake.
To top off the food, the staff are genuine in their service and the smiles they have come from their hearts. Full marks to the Manager, floor staff and cook/s.
This restaurant is a must for the Bali Traveller. We give Romeo's Bar and Grill a...

I started with their signature Pork Ribs—tender, smoky, and packed with flavour. Every bite felt like comfort food elevated to something extraordinary. The Barramundi and Mix Grill also made their way to the table, and it was clear: this is a place that knows how to do grilling right. The in-house traditional grill takes things to another level, serving up perfectly charred cuts of meat and fresh seafood that melt in your mouth.
The drinks were just as impressive. The mixologist’s creations were fun and full of surprises—each sip felt like a treat. And as if the food and drinks weren’t enough, the live music performance added an extra layer of magic. Local artists brought the space to life, creating the perfect soundtrack to...
Read moreThe most complete meal an omnivore can eat in the whole of Southeast Asia, called Nasi Campur, or Nasi Padang, simply means mixed rice, served with a dollop of rice and a mix of meats and vegetables. There are different versions to this delightful, personal mini-feast and today I must have had my favourite.
Note the sampling on my plate: an array of different meats done in their signature-Indonesian style. There's the delicious curry-chicken, the succulent boiled-then-roasted pork, the oh-so-tender beef rendang, the fresh, grilled-to-perfection barramundi fish....
Then, on the other side of the plate, there's the boiled-and-quick-fried eggs with turmeric paste, the round mashed-then-fried potato sides, the mixed long-bean salad, the skewered tuna, and the prawn fritters (chips). Phew! Talk about a mini-smorgasbord of delights and a combination...
