A Must-Visit for Pork Lovers in Bali! Acting on a fantastic recommendation from our local driver, we had our first, and certainly not last, meal at Nasi Babi Karya Rebo. For anyone seeking an authentic and delicious Balinese pork experience, this place is a gem.
First Impressions & Logistics: The restaurant is conveniently located and easy to find. A word of advice for those driving: the parking lot is quite small and fills up quickly, so arriving by scooter or a ride-hailing service might be a stress-free option. The eatery spans two floors; the ground floor is where all the culinary magic happens in the bustling kitchen, while the second floor offers a comfortable, air-conditioned dining area to escape the Bali heat.
The Experience & The Food: The system is straightforward: you place your order and pay on the first floor, then find a seat upstairs to await your feast. We visited during the peak lunch rush, so there was a bit of a wait for our food to be prepared. However, the anticipation was absolutely worth it.
The food itself was the star of the show. For a very reasonable price, the quality and taste were truly top-notch. We ordered a feast:
Nasi Babi Campur: A glorious platter showcasing a variety of pork preparations, each cooked to perfection. A fantastic way to sample everything.
Pork Ribs: Incredibly tender and flavorful, the meat practically fell off the bone.
Pork Satay: Perfectly grilled with a delicious sweet and savory marinade.
A huge bonus for spice lovers is the self-service sambal station on the second floor. You can take as much as you like, but be warned – it is incredibly potent and delivers a powerful kick (pedas sekali!). It was the perfect fiery complement to the rich pork dishes.
Final Verdict: Our overall experience at Nasi Babi Karya Rebo was fantastic. It's the kind of authentic, no-frills place that focuses on what matters most: incredible food at a great value. We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Bali....

Special for Babi Guling / Nasi Campur Babi in Bali (traditional food in Bali)
I went when it's not to busy time (during covid 19 at March 2022) It's easy to get a table for you to dine in, because less people eat there (even local or tourist). When you dine in go straight to the cashier choose your menu, pay & tell the your name because they don't have table number. When your menu done they will call your name & send you your meal.
If you do take away for lunch at home / hotel, after you book & pay it and wait aside to wait yours done. For the packaging you can choose by box / brown paper (different price)
If you do take it back to your city, let them know and they'll give you a sterofoam container and pack it safely (frozen menu / snack)
Price : normal (for foreigner / domestic tourist), to high (for local), compares to the portion the price itself quite expensive
Taste : 6/10 for me because the taste is just salty and it served cold not to warm. And they served without sambal. The beverages so many you can choose your favourite
Parking Site : 4/10, you better have a driver to get you there if it's peak season. They only have small parking area right in front of their restaurant. If you have driver it's easy to just drop you by, if you drive yourself you need to find your own parking site. The parking helper is not to friendly to help you get parking lot
Ambience : 8/10, clean enough and because the concept is dine in restaurant they design it as it is, full balinese traditional music
Payment : debit card + qr code + cash

In 2025, Babi Guling Karya Rebo has undergone a renovation, giving the restaurant a fresh and more modern appearance. One of the most noticeable updates is the addition of a dedicated car parking area, which is a big plus for families and travelers arriving by car.
I visited this legendary Balinese eatery with my family, including my sister who brought along her toddler (aged 2–3 years). Thankfully, the restaurant provides high chairs for young children, making it more family-friendly and accessible for all ages.
Whenever we visit Bali, Karya Rebo is always on our must-visit list—it's our go-to place for authentic Babi Guling (Balinese roast pork). For tourists visiting Bali, trying babi guling is an absolute must, and Karya Rebo is one of the top places to experience it.
This time around, the food was just as incredible as I remembered. I even took some photos to capture how amazing the meal looked—and tasted. I can honestly say the flavor has stood the test of time. Even though it's a bit spicy, it’s definitely worth it—the taste is uniquely Balinese and absolutely unforgettable.
Parking is now available, and I estimate it can accommodate around 3–4 cars, maybe more. I managed to snap a photo of the exterior during our visit to capture the restaurant's new look.
Thank you, Karya Rebo, for keeping the tradition and flavor alive. God bless you and the team. Hopefully, we’ll have the chance to visit again...
