We attempted to eat here tonight and ended up walking out before we even got our food. I placed an order for two curries, some naan breads, drinks and then wanted to order some plain pasta for my very picky daughter. The waitress said that was fine and sheâd just charge me for the âcheese pastaâ dish because there was âno button for plain pastaâ, l said ok and asked how much the cheese pasta was and got no response. I then looked up the cheese pasta to find that it was 175k!!!! That equates to $17AU and so l questioned it. The waitress stuck to her guns saying that is what we would be charged for a bowl of plain pasta!!! Totally stunned l asked if l could speak with a manager to see if they too would agree with that charge and sure enough the manager was like âyep, thatâs what we will charge youâ! To say l was shocked would be an understatement, that is absolutely ridiculous & a total rip off! I said what l thought and we left, which didnât bother the staff in the slightest, another red flag! I should have known something was wrong with this place when it was dead and lots of other places were packed. We went a few doors down and had an amazing dinner at âWild Habit Pizzaâ, ordered a delicious pizza, garlic bread and the plain pasta my daughter wanted (which they charged us $5.60!!!!!!) and two drinks and the whole meal cost us 270k and it was deeeeelicious!!!!
I would never recommend this place based on their poor attitude and clearly...

Our visit to this restaurant was a letdown from start to finish. The food was bland, lacking the signature richness and complexity that defines real Indian cuisine. Veg Biryani tasted noticeably stale â as though theyâd been sitting around for hours, if not longer. Dal Fry had no spices, just yellow dal. For a restaurant claiming authenticity and using the name of iconic âShiv Sagarâ, the flavors were shockingly off-mark.
The staff seemed disengaged and unbothered, with no sense of hospitality or warmth. But what truly sealed the negative experience was the managerâs (probably the owner) response to our feedback. Rather than listening or even acknowledging our concerns, he dismissed them outright â no apology, no curiosity, just a defensive shrug. He started with this statement, âIf you want, I can ask the 10 guests sitting for the feedback and no one will give negative feedbackâ. When we decided to leave, he offered discount as if this is why we gave him the negative feedback, showing his true class and character.
This kind of attitude, especially in the hospitality industry, is unacceptable. A restaurant can have an off day, but when even honest feedback is brushed aside, it shows a deeper problem. Sadly, we wonât be returning â and canât recommend it to anyone expecting genuine Indian food or genuine...

I don't usually go out of my way to leave negative reviews, but I think there is a public service element here due to food poisoning.
On a recent lunch, here's what happened.
There is a LOT of food recycling going on at this restaurant.
By way of apology, the manager offered us a plate of jalebi, which we sent back with a smile because it was inedibly soggy. We were still charged the full amount for the masala dosa that the manager had admitted was completely off. He wouldn't accept that there was a problem with anything else. It all seemed fine to him.
We ate our food despite this (whatever we could), because we were hungry and we didn't want to create a scene. But I do want to warn everyone of potential...
