Warung kolesterol — Restaurant in Kuta

We were staying at the Hilton for our last night in Indonesia and went here after reading the great reviews. I can’t recommend this place enough! Just COME HERE!

The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We got to pick which fish we ate and the owner showed me how he prepared too - BBQed over coconut husks. We also had noodles and rice. And a number of cold Bintangs.

The restaurant itself was clean and nice. They have a bunch of decorative gold fish you can watch.

We were in country for 4 weeks and this was unexpectedly one of the best meals we had.

I am quite happy to keep the Five Stars going. I have been visit WK since it opened. I love the personal service of Dewa the owner. The Warung is clean safe and welcome. A few kids were running around tonight but the BBQ fish on coal and coconut was great. We had a meal package and cold beer. Everything was presented by genuine sweet local Balinese girls and Dewa the owner and chef still managed to greet and farewell most tables while we were there. I recommend this place if you want the friendly local feel with a delightful burst of flavours and traditional Balinese cooking...

Food was really good, no point to complain anout food at all. The people are kind as well.

However when i asked the bill after meal, they said that the printer was not working and just told me that how much was it. And that amount was too much compared what i needed to pay.

I paid first, and i asked to gave me the detail.

Then it took 15mins to give me the detail (manually written on the paper). Yes. it was exactly what I ate, however each menu was much more KG, hence more money charged.

When i told that it is too much than what i ate, they apologized and answered that they were confused with other table.

But my question is "why it took 15 mins? And the each menu items were exactly what i ate." its not from other table. They cant be confused with that. (there are only 2 table including us)

Anyway they apologied and gave me money back (my actual bill was half price of the first bill), but it was not really pleasant experience at all.

I dont say that "do not go here". Becuz Food is really good. But If u visit, u need to know how much u will pay (spcially how many KG of the fish) and calculate by urself before u pay.

Otherwise, you might pay double.

음식은 진짜 넘 맛잇엇는데 (한국인이라면 무조건 좋아할맛) 영수증가지고 장난치네요 포스기 고장났다고 영수증 안주고 돈만 띡 부르는데 먹은거 두배 돈 냈어여. 첨엔 암 생각없이 돈 냈다가, 좀 뭔가 이상해서 상세 내역 적어서라도 보여달라고 하니까

15분동안 어케든 내가 낸돈을 우리가 먹은거랑 결합시키려고 부단히 애쓰던 ㅋㅋㅋㅋ 결국 나에게 준 손으로 쓴 영수증은 생선 무게가 너무 나가고 양도 두세개씩 되어잇길래 이거 아니라고 하니까 그제서야 갑자기 미안하다고? 15분동안 조작한게 더 화가남...
