The place is not that big and no AC. It could serve around 20 people inside. The food taste very good with their tasty peanut sauce. I ordered Tahu Telor Lontong for Rp. 11.000,-. It looks like Ketoprak in Jakarta, but without the glass noodle (bihun). It has fried tahu (tofu), lontong, friend egg, tauge (bean sprouts) and kerupuk (crackers). Also you need to try to eat it with white kerupuk that they've prepared on each tabel. It cost only Rp. 2.000,-/package. When you eat there, It won't be comfortable to stay for too long. Well, because the place is small so it is better if we give our seats to other people if we're done eating. I would recommend this place for both local and international tourist, since the food is also one of the authentic Malang's food.

Tasty, savory plate of goodness! The place has been around since the 1930s, now the third generation is running it. You know a place is good when they only offer one type of dish in the menu: “tahu lontong” (fried tofu with rice cakes, served with bean sprouts, crackers and savory black sauce)! You can substitute the rice cake with normal rice, or choose the “telor” (egg) option: “tahu telor lontong” (which I recommend, tofu fried with egg and served with rice cakes). The sauce is savory, a combination of traditional Indonesian fish paste (called “petis”) and peanut. Yummy and delicious! Portion is just right and the service is friendly, quick and fast. A very good meal indeed. Can satisfy even the most picky eater in our group!

A tahu lontong speciality shop. They mainly sell tahu lontong which is tofu and compressed rice cakes (lontong). I highly recommend getting the tahu telor lontong (tofu, fried eggs, and rice cakes)! The peanut sauce base is extremely fragrant and delicious. The addition of fried egg gives a nice savoury touch on top of the peanut flavour that may get old after a few bites. The rice cake is soft and sweet, while still maintaining a firm texture. It's sad to see the old school menu sign I saw in older reviews replaced by a bigger modern one tho.
