I visited The Chill Penida and I strongly advise others to manage their expectations. The location is extremely good, but thatâs about the only positive. From the moment I entered, the experience went downhill. The music was awful and played very low â nothing close to the energy or atmosphere of a real beach club. As someone from Las Vegas who has been to countless beach clubs around the world, I can confidently say this place was nowhere near a beach club vibe. It felt more like a regular restaurant with background music, and not even like a proper beach bar. To make things worse, shortly after I ordered drinks and snacks, a stray dog came into the restaurant and was roaming around freely. I am allergic to pets, so I politely asked the staff to remove the dog. Their response was shocking and completely unprofessional â they said, âsome people like dogs and some donât, and itâs okay for us to have the dog here.â Because of that response, I simply finished what I had already ordered and left without ordering anything else. If youâre expecting a lively beach club atmosphere, good music, and professional service, this is not the place. Itâs misleadingly presented as a beach club, but in reality, itâs just an underwhelming bar on the beach with poor management and no regard for...
Read moreI recently visited the Cafe Chill Penida on Nusa Penida Island in Bali for lunch, and I must say, the experience was fantastic. The ambience of the cafe and the view of the beach are simply stunning. The atmosphere is very relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely meal.
The menu options at Cafe Chill Penida are comprehensive and offer a variety of dishes that cater to different dietary needs. As a vegan, I was pleased to see that they had plenty of vegan options available. The food was of excellent quality and tasted delicious. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good quality food at a reasonable price.
However, there is one downside to this cafe that I must mention. They do not serve water, which is a bit disappointing. It would be great if they had a cheaper alternative for water or provided it for free. Nonetheless, this small inconvenience shouldn't deter you from visiting this wonderful cafe.
Overall, my experience at Cafe Chill Penida was fantastic. The stunning ambience, comprehensive menu, and good quality food make it a must-visit spot on Nusa...
Read moreMy girlfriend found The Chill and it was so good as a first experience, that we went back the evening after.
The location, family, quality of food and diversity of food is amazing. Itâs not just vegan. But itâs for sure a good place to try some vegan alternatives, because everything is tasty.
Their banana breakfast smoothie, just take it: morning, afternoon, evening, itâs always time for a banana breakfast smoothie from The Chill.
The music is super laidback and not too loud, itâs background music as it should.
The small tiny downside that has actually nothing to do with The Chill is that because they are so easy accessible in any way, it attracts a huge diversity of peopleâŠ.meaning not always the type of people who are likeminded and there with the same intentions (chilling and disconnecting vs alcohol tanking and non-stop phone addicted). Late evenings attracts the latter.
It is what it is, for sure you should give them a visit and indulge in their great offering and hospitality. Especially early evenings around sunset are...
