"My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at "The Rich Penida" in Nusa Penida, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by the manager, Comang, and his team, especially Sonya, who made us feel incredibly welcome.

The food at "The Rich Penida" was simply outstanding. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavors. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and we were impressed by the freshness and quality of the ingredients used. Whether it was the traditional Indonesian specialties or the international fusion dishes, each bite was a delightful journey for our taste buds.

From the moment we arrived, we could tell this was going to be a a great experience! The atmosphere was fun, inviting and had such a great energy.

One of the best parts of the evening was how well the team took care of everyone, especially since a few in our group didn’t speak much English. Despite this, the staff ensured that everyone felt comfortable and a part of the experience.

The food came out quickly, was beautifully presented and tasted amazing with great attention to detail to our allergies and preferences.

What really set this place apart was the staff.

Comang was a joy to have looking after our table. He was friendly, engaging and clearly cared about making sure everything went smoothly.

We also had the chance to chat with him. He honestly went above and beyond. He didn’t just serve us - he connected and bonded with us. He took the time to learn about each person in our group and even found some common interests to chat and laugh about. That personal touch really stood out.

It’s also worth mentioning that the staff were very caring regarding the allergies I mentioned before. The staff took the time to double-check every single detail so that everyone could enjoy their meal without worry, which was such a relief. They even double checked on dishes they knew some people weren’t eating and other dishes / methods of cooking that may have caused an issue.

We recently dined at The Rich Penida, and it was a mixed experience.

The restaurant has a cute and cozy ambiance, which sets the stage for a pleasant meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. They were very supportive of accommodating vegetarian requests where possible.

For starters, we ordered the jalapeno corn fritters, which, while flavorful, could have been crispier. The crinkle cut French fries and cauliflower soup were satisfactory.

Moving on to the mains, the pesto chicken sandwich was a standout - it was not only good but alsogenerously sized. The creamy carbonara also met our expectations. However, the tomato spaghetti didn't quite hit the mark in terms of taste.

What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The manager noticed that we hadn't finished the tomato spaghetti and approached us to inquire. He was genuinely apologetic and open to feedback. To our surprise, he offered to waive it off the bill without us even having to complain. This level of customer care truly impressed us.

We noticed that they also offer rooms, although we didn't have the chance to check them out during this visit.
