Pagi sore Restaurant — Restaurant in Padang

This restaurant is a huge SCAM !!!!! So far we've only met great people in Indonesia but please don't go there if you don't want to have a bad time.

In 4 months of travel in Asia, this is the worst restaurant I've been to. I expected to taste good local food, but in fact nothing was good.

They just brought us several dishes without explaining anything.

When it came time to pay, the manager gave us a “special tourist” bill, and the price was just ridiculously high. We tried to understand the bill but nothing could be done, the staff just ended up insulting us and threatening to call the police when we were simply trying to understand the bill and also to remove the dishes...

Food is very underwhelming IMHO. Everything is kinda bland for Padang food, especially the rendang & ayam goreng. Not flavorful at all. Thankfully the Gulai is better, but really, still nothing special. The only delicious menu is ES JERUK. Pricing is also confusing. 2 persons ate, ordered rice, 1 rendang, 2 ayam goreng, 1 sayap ayam goreng, sambal merah & daun singkong, 1 es jeruk. Charged 172rb. They didn’t write what price is for what menu, just scribbles. Very overpriced for the quality & place. Same as Jakarta price? Don’t think I’ll be...

Was recommended this restaurant as an authentic place for the Padang Rendang. Unfortunately this was not the case, I am extremely disappointed. Was offered random plates of food at first and I then simply asked for Rendang. I was given a small plate with two pieces of Rendang - the menu stated 21,000Rp which I thought meant for a playe, obviously. When I went to pay unfortunately I was asked to pay the price of each piece of Rendang which then amounted to double. Quite ridiculous if you ask me....
