The food was decent.. as a regular, I usually dine here twice a week. However, I encountered a disappointing experience today.
The issue stemmed from the security personnel (the older gentleman). Instead of offering a proper greeting, he immediately told me to discard the breads I had just purchased from another store. For the record, I would never bring outside food into Haka, let alone eat a pile of breads in a dim sum restaurant. That assumption was both misplaced and insulting.
When I expressed my frustration, his response was belated and lacked empathy. Only then did he ask, โApa mau dititip?โ a gesture that should have been offered from the start, not after an unnecessary confrontation. Too late, Pak.. Too late..
This kind of interaction reflects a gap in service etiquette. He would benefit from proper training, particularly in welcoming guests with courtesy and professionalism.
Because of this incident, Iโve lost interest in returning to Haka Dimsum.. and I wonโt be recommending it to others.

Please improve your security guy measures. I believe many customers have had similar negative experiences, leading them to cancel their intentions to dine there.
Additionally, you can enhance your standard operating procedures (SOP) as follows:
Greet the customer warmly with a smile.
Politely ask, "Sir/Madam, would you like me to keep your shopping items? This will make your dining experience more comfortable."
Exchange the items for a retrieval...

A repeat customer here! ๐โโ๏ธ I've visited this outlet multiple times, and I think that some of the dishes really live up to its name.
Taste-wise, the hakau udang ๐ฆ was really good and juicy. Its flavour profile is mild savouriness with sweet and plumpy shrimp. The crystal skin of the dumplings was thin and clear. But the pleats?? The pleats โ๏ธ Messy. Just plain messy :/ The thing is that my friend's portion of hakau udang had decent pleats?? But mine was..lol please, PLEASE see the attached pictures and judge for yourself ๐ Overall, I think the hakau quality is super good (this was my first time receiving these messy pleats), even comparable to Wng Hng's most renowned version of hakau.
The carrot cake (kue lobak) was satisfactory. Taste-wise, it was garlicky, savoury, slightly sweet from the charred, caramelised corners. But it was missing crisp and crunch texture. The carrot cakes were charred but NOT crispy, so texture-wise, with the egg and the vegetables, it's just a slightly identifiable mush in your tastebuds. The only crunch texture in the dish was the vegetable stems, which was lacking in flavour.
The fried mantao was perfect. Crispy outer layer, soft and pillowy insides, dipped with the side of sweet condensed milkโit was the only perfect dish I had nothing to nitpick about ๐
Cleanliness was ok, staff were nice and helpful, service time was bearable even during dinner rush hours. So go ahead...
ย ย ย Read moreWe came at 8:30 am. Queue for 15 mins got our table but food did not come even after 45 mins. My husband asked more than 1 staff they did not response well until we had to go to the food prep counter to take our own orders. Service is really bad, when we said no spoon to our of the staff, she pointed to the area so we could take it ourselves.
We ordered chili oil noodle, taste is okay, but texture too soft. The xiao long bao filling is fine but skin abit too thick. The siomay is good. The steam rice is tasteless and the meat topping is rubbery.
Alot of items are sold out, which put us into limited choices.
We ordered 3 takeaways, even after an hour, none prepared, the staff asked us to cancel. Making us spending 1.5 hours in the super crowded place and had to find other food to takeaway for our kids.
Most beverages are instant sachets. It would be great if they can prepare fresh milk tea and fresh coffee like most dimsum shops.
It really doesnot worth the waiting time at this moment.
I hope they would improve their service and varieties of their menu else it may be a turn off for...
