Hog Wild - Serpong — Restaurant in Pagedangan

A great Balinese-style pork meat restaurant.

🍖: I like the pork ribs with sambal matah. It was so tender with a perfect taste of sweet and spicy. Their speciality is their pork knuckle, which is very crispy and the meat was quite tender with sour sauce. To balance my meal, I also ordered a salad with a thousand island sauce that tasted so good. I think their sauce taste unique and a bit strong, it can be too sour or too sweet for some people.

💵: it is quite expensive. But, the price is quite normal for this kind of food compare with another similar restaurant. The pork knuckle might be quite pricey but with its big portion and perfectly cooked meat, I think it's worth the money. But, I think that the drink here is quite expensive with an average price cost around Rp. 30K.

⛪: the restaurant is very comfortable with a semi-outdoor room where you can feel the wind from the outside. This restaurant has bright lighting and a spacious room. It has large seats and tables that allow you to have more dishes on your table. It is a great place to hang out with family and friends. I think kids might love this place as they have a fish pond and they sell gelato and french fries that...

Hog Wild is a special place for pork rib in Serpong, Tangerang. Pork rib is one of famous food in Bali, and the original branch of Hog Wild is in Seminyak, Bali. When I come to Hog Wild, I feel like staying in Bali for a moment.

Of cource, their specialty is pork rib. There are two kinds of pork rib in menu, Wicked Rib and Dare to Rib. Basically, both are same rib, but just different sauce. Wicked rib is barbecue sauce and Dare to rib is ginger and sweet sauce. Both are really delicious and remind me of Bali 👍

Salad and side dish also so nice. Caesar salad is kind price (55k), but portion is big enough. I like the caesar sauce which I guess homemade. Onion rings (30k) are also very satisfied. Kind price and freshly fried 👍

They always provide beer promotion, so it also makes me more happy hours as a beer lover. Beer Bintang 3+1 in the ice bucket!

Atmosphere interior is typical ruko in Gading Serpong. But, it’s not matter. Food and my mind is more important.

So basically, the food is great, with decent price. Majority of the people went with me loved their wicked ribs. Tender yet juicy, accompanied by their sauce (sorry not sure whats the name, its on the table, that black barbeque color in a bottle) creates an amazing combination. My favourite (mine, not everyone agrees on this) tho, is actually their pork chop. the taste and texture, accompanied with bits of lime squeezed, suits my palate well. For the sides, basically I've tried all of em and i would recommend their hand cut fries, nice and crispy.

As for the place, nice atmosphere, 1st floor semi outdoor, or just go 2nd floor for fully air conditioned room. Overall nice ambiance, great for bunch of friends, as well as family. Oh and the service is great.

That aside, for people like me who really wants to enjoy dinner.. I feel the live music is disruptive, too noisy if you sit on the first floor. Kinda hard to chew my food with that noise going on. Simple tho just stay away on weekends, and come on weekdays instead lol.
