Candhari Heaven — Restaurant in Prambanan

WRONG MENU for my 44-people group, very unprofessional.

My name is Gilang and I am the director of Travelxism. I am very disappointed with Candhari by serving the WRONG FOOD and DIFFERENT from what We AGREED to our Australian guests.

My team contacted regarding reservation for 44 pax for dinner last night 25 June 2023. We agreed with the price and chose the menu NAKULA 1 for 44 pax. When we wanted to make FULL-PAYMENT (NOT JUST DOWN PAYMENT), THE MENU CHANGED! Still under the same name Nakula, but different food. My team cannot decide so I jumped in by contacting your staff Intan through whatsapp for confirmation. Intan said there is new menu, BUT WE HAVE AGREED WITH THE OLD ONE. Then I tried to ask her confirmation whether we can still USE THE OLD NAKULA with the price we agreed on because my guests chose the OLD NAKULA 1 not the new one.

Long short, INTAN agreed, that Candhari will serve with the old nakula 1. THEN, I TRANSFERED FULL PAYMENT. THEN, when my guests came last night, I checked with the food, THE FOOD WAS THE NEW NAKULA 1 not the one we agreed. Most of my guests are foreigners, some of them told me the food was too spicy for them with sayur asem and pepes.

I contacted Intan and she offered for refund 10%, IT'S NOT ABOUT REFUND. it's not as simple as that. Our first impression of Candhari...

I’m a certified chef for 20yrs and first to experience this kind of system in a restaurant. Im directing this review to the STINGY OWNER. one waiter to take orders for all the tables outside. 20staff to send the food to the table but cannot take yr order They take your money before you enter 200k 30mins to order only and hour to get your food I can tell you from a professional point of view that the owner doesnt want to hire more staff to take orders. Kitchen is at the entrance and by the time drinks get to you, half of it spilled. There is a restaurant down the street called NAWATU that is 100% better food n service. With the sane view. owner spent money on renovation but wouldnt spend on hiring more staff to take orders. NOT WORTH THE MONEY BECAUSE THE MENU IS LIMITED. I feel bad for the service crew. Beautiful place to eat on top of a hill across from Prambanan, with a pool, delicious food and a few villas if you like it so much you wish to stay overnight! It was pouring rain when we visited, but the view was still gorgeous, though covered by the fog. The outside deck with the pool looked amazing, the interior is spacious and modern, with comfortable chairs and seating arrangements for large and small groups. The staff were attentive and we were able to park downstairs so we could avoid getting rained on. The food was delicious as was the coffee and the service very quick (though we were the only ones there at this point).
