Located right on the Lagoi Beach front, sharing the same location as the Tidal Bar (on the left) and YEAH! Mart (on the right) and the same ordering corner with the café "Mama B Express".
It was our third time visiting this restaurant during our holidays in Bintan. The first time was around five years ago, as they started serving some homey, affordable dishes totally satisfying our taste buds and hungry bellies.
This time around, we are positively surprised, as they already improving a lot. Totally revamped and redesigned, and they even integrated a café and a beach bar, and opening a lot more sitting place on the second floor, new menu, and of course many more (fancy) drinks to offer. We assume that they try to accommodate more guests after being around and thus gaining recognition amongst tourists and locals.
As our second visit was during peak holiday season, it was understandable that they might be a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. There's still space for improvement in handling orders, especially in the kitchen to shorten waiting time during rush hours. Even though, the service personnel was still very polite and helpful.
Choosing and avoiding normal meal time turned out to be a very good idea during our third visit. It is one of the must-visit-places in Lagoi Bay Mall. Recommended and see you soon, Yeah! Team.
A couple of signature menus we ordered: Chicken Wings Mango Breeze Steam Coffee Butterscotch Coffee Pisang Goreng Roti Bakar Sate Ayam Sate Taichan Ikan Bakar Tahu Telur Siomay Nasi Goreng Hijau Nasi...
Read moreWe had such high expectations when we saw the reviews on this place. It was a warm balmy nite and we decided to sit outside in the courtyard on the bench seats overlooking the ocean. What more could you ask for??Right?? So service..What is it with the marking up a menu on a sheet of paper, only to wait 25 mins in a line at the cash register for the assistant to fumble their way through the mark ups on the paper to eventually get the ordered placed and paid for?? Don't understand- they have plenty of people standing around (there was even a door "welcomer" who spent more time on their phone than welcoming patrons!! So we ordered another drink and then proceeded to wait 45 mins to which ONE of our two burgers was delivered. The chips were cold, the bowl was half empty like someone had snacked on them on the way...So my partner had her burger. 10 mins later i went and asked the "door person" where the other one was. 5 mins later another burger was brought out, exactly like the one we ordered (we ordered one chicken and one beef burger), so that one was sent back to be replaced 5 mins later by a very average cold and "tide out" on the bowl of chips. So suffice to say, very disappointing when there was so much potential. Unfortunately, as we were staying at a resort close by, we never ventured back there to...
Read moreThis place is so goated, my partner and I found this restaurant on the second day of our stay and went back at least once a day for the rest of our trip. Not only is the food fairly priced, with each dish averaging to be roughly $4-$5(sgd) and drinks averaging $2-$3(sgd) - every dish we got was so so delicious and filling! Each visit we spent roughly $10(sgd) per pax to share 3 dishes and 2-3 drinks. My personal favourite was the Indomie Yeah, chicken wings, and satay. Considering the location - being close to most of the villas in Bintan, price, and service; I would highly highly recommend visiting at least once and will definitely be back next time we’re in Bintan!
edit: I’m reading the other reviews and have to mention that basing your review off of some else’s english skills while you’re visiting their country is so ignorant and you should be genuinely ashamed of yourself. The workers in the service industry here are trying their absolute hardest with a smile on their face everyday, making a spectacle of their language skills is disgusting. ANYWAYS - go to this restaurant the food...
