Location : Yogyakarta, Indonesia. I'm writing this review while I'm eating at the table I took from Epilog Furniture, while listening to everlasting song by Kla Project, Yogyakarta.
I remember when I came, bought furniture, enjoy the coffee and steak from Epic Coffe.
My mind drifted back to 6 years ago. Its seems like using Doraemon's time machine, it reminded me to write a review on Google Maps!
The Epic Coffee building is very spacious, once you enter, you feel like entering a hangar since the roof is high. On the back is Epilog Furniture.
Besides coffee shops, they also provide furniture, interesting ideas! Whether it's the main business of a restaurant and coffee or furniture it self. These things complement each other. Coffee shop and Furniture both have good quality
Maybe with this photo and review, owner can use a time machine to repeat the memory of 6 years ago as well.
When I came here, therefore when we came here there were only a few visitors, so we could see the furniture quietly.
What I remember is that the manager in charge doesn't monitor accompanying visitors wherever they go, that's what makes me comfortable actually. However if you have any questions he helps quickly and is very knowledgeable! He helped to deliver some furniture to Jakarta and I received it in good condition, even the price is quite pricy.
In addition to coffee and non-coffee drinks, there is also serve a dishes menu that has quite a lot of choices.
I tried the steak, taste is on point and delicious. The coffee served looks like a house blend, like a mixture of local robusta and arabica! Interesting!
I close this review by continuing to listen to the song Kla Project, Yogyakarta from my cellphone that I put on the table from...
Read moreThis is our first meal in Yogyakarta and recommended by our guide Ardi. There is a wide selection of coffees for you to try. The sweet and sour chicken wings and especially the chicken floss eggplant are good appetizer to start with. The chicken wings are flavourful though maybe a little bit spicy for some people, and eggplant is crispy (do look out for the padi chilli). I tried the tenderloin sreak cooked to medium rare as per my request which is decent at very reasonable price (10USD) with the side - potato wedges - is definitely worth trying. My wife had the smoked salmon Benedict, which has decent portion of well cooked salmon. The poached egg is slightly overcooked though. What left the most impression for my friends and I are the drinks! The milkshake, juices, smoothies and coffee blend are well decorated and tasty. We finished one round of drinks and ordered another before our food arrived. Special mention to Origin Choco blend, Affogato, Green tea milkshake, and Summer watermelon basil. Ambience is good and suitable for large crowd. The price of the food is reasonable as well. Each pax cost about USD 15 for 9 main course, 13 drinks and 2 sides for sharing. However, the service can be Highly recommended to try if you are...
Read moreI came here as the photo of the chicken salad is quite appealing and as well with so many good reviews. Hence decided to come here despite the one 400m away from this spot.
I was craving for good salad. I came during lunch time and there are some guests already had their meals and it is not busy. With vast area they have 2 waitresses covering all station.
So i went ahead order grilled chicken salad and sparkling water. 10min water came and then 40min the salad came! Yes - i minuted the timing since it took quite awkward.
The chicken was rather surprisingly too oily and too much spices and herbs mixing - it overpowered the chicken. Just tooooo much. They missed the lollo rosso on my plate. Not sure with their kitchen SOP for plate presentation but posted photos has lollo rosso on it. Iceberg, bianco dan endive with sliced onion and some cheery tomatoes are on it.
IMHO, the chicken should have rather been seared on hot ironplate with decent amount of herbs spices and oil would be better than what i got.
I honestly not content on this. I ended up left half of the chicken.
Last thing, where is my paper napkin for the meal? You got me only an underlying napkin for the glass water.
Oh well...take this as room to...
