Eastman Café — Restaurant in Semarang

Great place to eat, very comfy, friendly staff but only Mai speaks English. Finally a restaurant where we have a choice of vegetarian food, delicious pancakes or a choice of French croissants & cakes. We had the pancakes with granola & nuts with ice cream & home made raspberry jam, and a Mushroom quiche. Both delicious and Mai's service is excellent. Various types of coffees available too. I had the Vietnamese drip but make sure to mention it if you don't want milk in it. Soya and almond milk are also available for the vegans among us. Everything was okay until the cashier miss handled the payment. I already put my card for payment since I ordered the food (my friends not yet arrived) but they disrespect us by letting my friend paid instead and worse, they didnt return my card and explain the situation right away but I need to walk to cashier desk and asked for it back & the cashier girl casually said "sorry there were a miss comunication" without any sorry feeling.

No wonder so many complains about the service staffs on this branch, the management really should re-train, especially the cashier.
