Imperial Kitchen & Dimsum - Tentrem Semarang — Restaurant in Semarang

Got a quick lunch at this restaurant today. I've been to other outlets before but this was the first time I dined at this outlet in Tentrem Mall, Semarang. And the foods were really good!

I ordered dimsum menu: Gao Zi (shrimp dumplings in sweet vinegar sauce), Lumpia Ayam Saus Tiram (chicken springrolls in oyster sauce) and Tim Pangsit Udang & Sayuran (shrimp & vegetable steamed dumplings presented to look like little birds, hence the nickname baby bird dumpling). The Gao Zi and Chicken Springrolls were served hot and juicy, just like we expected them to be. The surprise was the Baby Bird Dumplings.

This cute and unique dish had deliciously chewy skin on the outside. Once you bite it you would taste the savory & the sweetness of the shrimp combined with the fresh flavor of the steamed vegetables. It was a very nice experience for my palate that deserves appreciation.

My 2nd trip here, foods good overall. They're still on their 3rd or 4th day of opening, so expect the hustle n bustle to effect the timely manner of the food. Such the case I ordered and asked the dessert to come out after I'm done with my appetizer and entree, turns out they gave it to me on the 1st hand off. So I kindly asked to keep it in the freezer first. Was kinda hungry so after my Kwetiau Siram Sapi I asked for the dessert to be taken out, while they they and I completely forgot about the appetizer I ordered, hence I was having dessert and appetizer all at once. Although I totally understand, for they are all still adjusting to their new working regimen & environment.

Will come back again for sure👌🏻glad Tentrem have more options for eating out.

PS: Minor nitpicking, wish they used real mushrooms on the entree, instead of...

Pertama kali dateng kesana disambut sama staff cewe senyum dan ramah, karena keadaan meja belum dibersihkan kita disuruh nunggu di kursi buat waiting list. Selang beberapa lama, 1 keluarga yg baru dateng nyelonong masuk dan duduk tanpa diminta menunggu di waiting list. Saya liat karena tidak ada teguran, saya ikut dong masuk dan duduk di kursi yg tersedia. Tiba tiba pegawai atas nama agg dateng dengan ketus bilang “tidak bisa duduk sini ya, silahkan tunggu di kursi depan. Ini sudah reservasi” padahal tidak ada tulisan reservasi. Saat itu ada beberapa meja kosong, saya tanya lagi “kalau meja ini mas, boleh?” Dengan ketus lagi, dijawab “boleh tp belum dibersihkan. Tunggu dulu di kursi depan” mungkin mas agg ini bukan pelayanan biasa karena seragamnya beda sendiri. Saya akhirnya nunggu lagi, ternyata meja tadi bukan reservasi. Melainkan ada customer yg pgn pindah ke meja itu. Saat kami pesan makan, mas agg juga sangat tidak ramah. Tidak ada senyum apalagi bilang permisi. Saya tanya baik baik best seller nya apa, dia jawab sekenanya. Dia naruh rincian pesanan dimeja juga tidak bilang permisi. Tiba tiba grasa grusu naruh paper kecil di meja. Saya liat dia ramah ke meja sebelah saya. Perlakuan yg sangat berbeda. Imperial kitchen, staff yg lain sangat ramah dan membantu, tapi untuk mas agg maaf banget mas. Anda tidak sopan...
