Kala Senja — Restaurant in Semarang

Have a pretty great dining experience here thanks to the taste of the food but unsatisfied with the service. The menu varies greatly, there are indonesian cuisine, pizza, pasta, steak, even pastry and cake (really want to try the cake but unfortunately there isn't any cake available when I went there). All food that I ordered taste great and the price is very reasonable since I got great quality and portion. Really recommend Sate Lilit. You can also enjoy city view from the restaurant. My experience would be perfect if the waiter has a good customer service. I have to ask the waiter twice to take my order, then because I ordered 2 menus that came with free ice tea, I was served 2 ice tea but then the waiter come back after I drank it and want to take the ice tea since the menu that I ordered are unavailable.. he also don't mind taking my order again to replace my first order.. plus I don't think I got enough smile from the waiters. Thank god I don't need to pay for the ice tea and satisfied...

I will never make a reservation on this restaurant for any events anymore! BAD SERVICES! Seems like they don't know about food flow for set menu and it's so silly! I even already give a code for the food flow and they still so bad. I wait the food so long! There's a table (4 people) who don't get dessert if I don't ask to them.

Besides, I already made reservation since December for event on Februari, but they give my tables to walk in guest! When I ask to them, they even not appologies and make an excuse. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THE BAD EXPERIENCE!

Third, I ask for a welldone egg because my friend is pregnant but they give me sunny side up twice even I already note it 5 times!!!

Four, there's an maintenance in the middle of running restaurant. Are you serious about it? I never see an issue like this before and do you really understand about HACCP?

I ordered mendoan daun jeruk, and it was tasty. My kid ordered a steak, but they forgot to place the order and it came really late after we asked about it and founs out it was forgotten. The fried rice n ayam sambal hitam were quite good. I tried a mocktail called BlueSky. Again, they forgot to make it, so it came late. It was definitely Blue! They put cotton candy on the top to make it resembles the clouds. Although the look was pretty, it did not taste as good as looked🥺 It was sweet and bitter at the same time.
