Lind's Ice Cream & Resto — Restaurant in Semarang

Very good atmosphere. So many decorations and festivities. The room looks like a cave. Give you a feeling of having dinner in the other world. They have smoking and non smoking area with a great city view which is very beautiful at night. The also have life music on Tuesday and the singer was good.

Talking about food now. The first time I saw the price looks normal for a restaurant. Not so expensive. But when the food comes. Ooohhh ... I ordered 1 soup, half pizza (appetizer that I forgot the name), Caesar Salad Chicken Curry New York Steak Australian Steak

There is dish name Shanghai soup. When I asked to the waiter she said it is good for 4 persons. In fact only half bowl of soup which is good for max 2 person. (I can say, I will finish by myself, but I came with another 3 person)

The second appetizer came almost the last of the meal. Which it should come together with the soup & Salad

The Caesars Salad, I think this is the worst Caesar salad I ever found, almost can't see another stuff than leaves. But my mom said that the dressing was good.

Chicken came with no problem

But the steaks were totally disappointing. My husband ordered medium rare and I asked for well done but we got switched. The fries was shoestring cut and the Salad or veggie was only leaves (see the picture)

The place is great, its really lovely, on their 3rd floor, you can sit outside and look outside the downhill, at night its really pretty, but its freakin hottt outside, i dont understand, no wind at all. We order a LOT of food. The salmon is great, not too dry, still flaky. The duck is good, love the green sambal. The ribs is big and juicy. The Mac and cheese is not too cheesy, and pretty small for 55k? The lind cheese steak? Bleh too little meat, too many coleslaw, the taste is also bland, god i hate it. The pizza is pretty good, nice amount of cheese For my child, i order chicken capcay 45k if im not wrong, and because its already quite late at night, i ask the waiter to take it away, i already saw the capcay is ready in the kitchen its portion is quite big (while i go to the bathroom), but when he gave it to us, its on a really small plastic, if you measure it with spoon, maybe just 3 spoonfull and its gone, really tiny portion, i cant believe it, where is it gone. My sister is furious because of this, she asked the chef to check again (because we knew this is not the right portion, someone must have took it or throw it away), and even after they came back with maybe the right amount of capcay, we are too afraid to eat it (we afraid they spit in it). And no, they did not said sorry even once. Definitely not gonna...

The service is not nice.

The bathroom doesn’t have toilet tissue. The waiters arrogantly point to just pick the tissue to wash hands in the washtafel. They said toilet tissue tend to drop to the floor. First, the audacity and rudenss. Second, the reason can’t be justified. What kind of reason is that?? Even the ugly laundry place in JKT HAVE toilet tissue. Third, cleaning up in toilet with harsh paper for washing hand? Kidding me??

When they serve the ice cream they don’t automatically give the water to rinse the ice cream down. In which i believe is a bare minimum for ice cream and restaurant like this. Or when they serve pizza they dont give little plate for us to use. Everything we need to ask.

We want to go upstairs to eat and see the view but they said it is opened at 4pm. Because we are from outside smg, we wait for hours to see the view. 4pm we ready to go upstairs and suddenly they just told us that the LIFT/ELEVATOR IS BROKEN. And that we have to take the stairs to 4th floor when my mom have critical KNEE PAIN. She waiter for hours to be treated like this. Oh God.

What a terrible terrible service that you have. Please be better before things like...
