The mac n cheese, southern chicken burger and the bitterballen are all delicious, would definitely come back again for the food. The service was decent, there was a minor incident of spilling by the server who didn’t clear it up until we asked it to be done.

So everything is well and good, except for the security/ valet person. I have never met anyone that disrespectful in the service industry. Like everyone (and as the parking attendee signalled), as I came in I parked my car behind another car because of how the parking space is designed, thinking I’d be called out if they needed me to move the car. And sure enough, I was called while I was waiting for the food. That’s completely fine, it was expected. A man with a similar, if not the same uniform as the parking attendee approached me as I walked to my car accusing me of not leaving my car keys with the security. I did not know of that rule (obviously), it was not written anywhere, the previous guy didn’t say anything. Grumbling after being accused of not following the rule, I backed out my car as directed by another man in uniform to a spot that eventually blocked the whole road. After about 5 minutes, the security guy proceeded to tell me off saying I should’ve stopped at another spot because I was blocking the road. Then he demanded for me to get off the car so he could “take care of it”. I was infuriated, he is literally the most disrespectful person I have met in the service industry, and I work in the damn industry.

TLDR; food is good, service is decent, security guy should be thrown off the edge...

Impeccably fast service and presentation. I came here three times during my visit of Semarang so I tried their morning coffee, lunch as well as dinner options.

If you are a tea connoisseur ask them to bring out their tea sample set. My nose was very happy for the aroma therapy before I settled on a choice. Their espresso was strong and hot just the way I like it.

What a wide choice of good food and pastries! The pain au chocolat and almond croissant were on point, but I was most impressed with their Es Teler cake: Soft as avocado chiffon with welcome surprises of jackfruit.

The Soto Betawi was divine, as was the beef ribs. Their many sambal were perfect for me (I like it hot, but the sambal is served separately so plain eaters need not worry).

I would recommend a few changes, though: Serve the salad dressing separately. The salads were over dressed, and the salad dressings were on the sweet side. Some of us like to taste our veggies! The Vietnamese spring rolls should be renamed Javanese because they're deep fried.

The location is very convenient with ample parking, the modern building fits well with it's heritage surroundings. Plenty of natural light and space. Seems to be popular with the Millennials who like to be seen. When I came it was decorated for Chinese New Year. Nice to see a restaurateur who keeps their decor up to date!

Nggak rekomen. Kalo mau cari tempat foto2 ya bisa sih kesini. A. Pas masuk mbak2 yg jaga pintu, cuekin aku. Aku masuk duluan tapi yg ditanyain meja buat berapa orang malah orang yg dateng setelah aku. Iya, aku cuma pake dress krudungan standar doang ko tau belakangnya keliatan orang kaya. Tapi perlu dibedain gitu, mana nggak liatin aku tp langsung layanin orang itu, nggak sama sekali bilang tunggu ya mbak jadi bengong doang didepan pintu nungguin orang dateng telat B. makanan sm minuman ngga nunggu lama. C. Minta tambahan saus harus minta beberapa kali baru dikasih. Cuma dikasih 1 gelas kecil saus yg nggak full. Padahal pesen 3 menu yg normalnya pasti dikasih saos diresto cafe lain D. Krn buat 6 org disuruh ke ruang vip. Disini ac nya ngga kerasa, panas dan pas minta suhunya diturunin. Mbak2 yg aku minta tolong malah bisik2 ke temennya sama nunjuk2 kearah aku. Dan well ac nya gitu2 aja akhirnya krn dari tembok kaca aku ngga liat mereka ada bawa remote benerin ac E. Pelayan keliatan banget kekurangan peralatan makan. Ini keliatan dr gelat sm pas sajian pertama dateng. Pas pertama minuman disajiin biasa aja, kedua minta ngambil piring sm gelas padahal kita belum selesai semua, ketiga pas meja sebelah minta extra saus mereka minta gelas sausnya buat diisi lagi, keempat pas pesen order kedua gelasnya ada wadah gelasnya dll dimana pas order pertama engga. Btw kita makan past lunch time hlo

Pastanya bener2 the worst pasta I ever had so far. Pesen 2 pasta ngga enak semua. Spicy beef arabita ini ngga enak. Bumbunya nggak nyampur sama sekali jadi pas dimakan rasa pasta doang, asin engga, pedes engga. Flat, aku mesti makan dicampur apapun biar kemakan kek chips dr beef chips, saus curry dr katsu, saus cream dr cordon blue. Dagingnya kek daging cincang yg ditumis ngga ada rasa bumbunya sama sekali! Kedua, fettucini carbonara paling ngga enak yg pernah kumakan. Sama kek pasta yg sebelumnya, ini ngga ada rasanya juga, kudu dimakan pake saos biar mendingan. Creamy engga, asin engga, ngeju engga. Beneran, pertama kali beli carbonara ngga berasa kek gini. Chicken cordon blue, menunya oke. Ayamnya enak, creamy sauce enak dan saladnya plus mustardnya enak. Minusnya, mashed potato. Masih bau kentang gitu, jadi pas disendok mau dimakan bau kentang mentahnya masih ada (kalo pernah masak pasti tau bau kentang kalo salah masak). Engga creamy Beef and chips. Ini decent menu sih, chipsnya enak karena ngebantu bgt buat makan pasta yg rasanya ambyar ngga keruan. Tapi roti beefnya yaa udah gitu aja. Chicken parmigiama. Makanan paling normal & paling mending dibanding menu2 lain yg kupesan. Saladnya sm kaya cordon blue, kentang gorengnya crispy & ngga oily. Chicken curry. Katsunya enak, potongannya besar & nggak tepung doang. Dibawahnya ada telur orak-arik enak. Cuma saus currynya is so so. Kek saus kari kalo kita beli ditempat murah gitu, ngga cocok buat dijual sekelas cafe . Rasa curry nya kurang, asin dikit udah. Plusnya porsinya gede sm telurnya enak. Gyudon. Dagingnya kematengan jadi eneg gitu.plusnya ya itu, telur orak-ariknya enak. Porsinya ga sebesar yg kari tapi kalo rasa dagingnya kurang ya percuma krn dia daya tarik menu ini. Minuman. Paling enak cuman berry tea basil(?) Ini seger dan enak tanpa tambahan gula udah enak. Es teh biasa aja sih, kalo dibanding sm tempat lain ini bener2 teh mahal tapi rasa biasa aja. Ngga wangi, manis biasa aja, yaa teh gitu. Es kopinya ditaruh diplastik, rasanya kaya es kopi pada umumnya, enak udah.

Disini menang tempatnya aesthetic gitu, rasa makanan ngga rekomen sama sekali buat aku yg bahkan prefer light taste. Pelayanannya nggak ramah dan kinda rude for some employs. Dibanding resto sm cafe didaerah situ sih mending cari yg lain. Banyak yg tempatnya lebih bagus, makanannya lebih enak & harganya ngga beda jauh dgn pelayan yg...
