While Gogo Curry Genki no Minamoto at Living World Alam Sutera offers a unique twist on traditional Japanese curry, I found my experience to be somewhat underwhelming. The thicker consistency of the curry due to the longer cooking time was a bit of a surprise, and I found that it didn't quite hit the spot for me. Additionally, I wasn't a fan of using a fork instead of a spoon to eat the curry, which made the experience feel a bit awkward and clunky.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was decent, but nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. The service was average, with the staff being polite but not overly friendly or engaging.
While I can appreciate the effort to put a unique spin on Japanese curry, I ultimately left feeling unsatisfied with my meal. For those looking for a more traditional Japanese curry experience, this may not be the best option. However, for those who are open to trying something new, it may be...
Read moreWent here, grand slam and world champ is not available due to "limited curry sauces". For me that is ridiculous for a curry restaurant. But the main reason i gave 2 stars were the service was so bad. I ordered 2 ocha, and 1 minute maid pulpy, they gave me 2 cups. Then my toddler son pour the minute maid tu one of the cup because he cant use the bottle very well. So i went to the waiter and ask to get another cup, they said, i need to pay for another cup. They cant give me a new cup because all are counted for ocha buyers. Then I asked to change for a new cup, they gave it to me! How ridiculous is that! The waiter/ress also argues with me. Also the coleslaw was bad, so watery so the curry become so watery. And the curry taste different from day 1 opening. Go! Go! Curry! Was my fav food chain in Japan, but i am so dissapointed here. And the best menu they have also not available....
Read moreFood was enjoyable. Delicious and fragrant curry. I really like the rice, texture really likes sticky rice. The chicken katsu was crunchy outside and tender inside. Curry was deep dark brown color, unlike the “more common” japanese curry that is lighter in color. Sausage was just so so. While the prawn tempura was nice. Eggs was OK, I was wondering if the egg yolk still runny, may be can add more kick to the overall dish. Beef hamburg was surprisingly good.
Portion was OK, too bad couldn’t add more curry sauce as I think the curry sauce a bit less than I expected.
Service was very average like any other fast food restaurant. Although here if you order ocha, you can freely refill it, which is super nice.
Price was quite reasonable to the taste, portion, and comfort temperature in the...
