Demandailing Cafe — Restaurant in Surabaya

Demandailing Cafe has great ambiance the moment you step in. The placing of the seat is quite convenient and the meals are actually delicious. The photo I inserted (credit to my friend) is two of the four dishes my friends and I shared. Pricing here is a bit expensive (30K - 70K-ish if I'm not mistaken) though, so you might want to bring quite an amount of money before going here.

Also, Demandailing Cafe is known to be crowded even on weekdays, so reservation is a must. I advise to arrive on time because you're only given 15 minutes of dispensation if you don't arrive punctually.

Demandailing Cafe is one of those cafes where the employees are focused in making the orders. This means that they are centered in one place to make whatever you order. Therefore, you need to go to the cashier and place your order. They give two methods of payment: Qris and the standard payment with paper money. Their wifi password is also written in a piece of paper you can take from a jar in the cashier section.

I didn't manage to take this certain picture, but Demandailing Cafe also offers hot ginger liquid for online drivers to consume. They also have some cute spots for visitors to pose and upload on Instagram.

Overall, Demandailing Cafe is a great place to dine in with your loved ones. The foods taste great and the ambiance is nice. I was pleased while being there with my friends. However, you might want to consider your arrival time and your budget...

First visit to this cafe and it left a good impression for us.

The entrance door handle is cute as it looks like a round waffle. In front of the entrance is a cashier desk where we can directly order food and the payment is upfront. In my opinion, they need to put more menu book so people in queue can see first what they want to order, as the restaurant’s digital menu is too small when it’s read from smartphone.

The food is delicious and fulfilling with affordable price. If you have bigger tummy, you can go for the WOW portion. They also know how to make good frappe. A must try menu is their waffle. The dough is thick yet fluffy with good ice cream on top.

Their service is up to the expectation. The waiter is informative as they keep always inform us and ask for our consent first to wait if the food takes longer time to prepare and served.

The cafe ambience’s is great with bright yet warm and cozy atmosphere. The music is up to trend and not too loud so we still can have proper chat

Minus point is the parking space is too small especially when the cafe is full house.

A popular spot for friends gathering. When I came early right after the opening hour, there are already a few people inside. There were also some reserved tables. I ordered iced coffee and waffle with strawberry and marshmallows, the portion is quite big and the taste is exquisite! I think the price is just right for the size. However, some people may find that the portion is too big for dessert/snack, so maybe you can share it for 2 persons. The main dish, on the other hand, is just in the right amount. Considering its a popular place, it gets crowded easily around the lunch times. Unfortunately, the seats are limited so in the busy hours you may find a queue (better reserve first for a bug group). I find it a little bit noisy when it's crowded, probably because the place is quite small. The restroom is quite clean, but you can see that the place is rather old from there (maybe the management can consider to renovate it...?)
