Legendary food in Surabaya, famous with their Nasi Kuning. Little bit pricy, 50k / portion for Nasi Kuning but plenty of topping : Javanese style fried chicken, perkedel, dendeng sapi, kering tempe, sambel goreng kentang, serundeng, telur dadar iris. The best part was dendeng sapi but the other parts were so-so. Not bad but not so special. The rice itself was too dry (kurang pulen), and the taste from yellow rice’s seasoning like coconut cream and other ingredients was too light so it was not tasty as I expected. Legendary restaurant in Surabaya, highly recommend their Nasi Kuning and Cap Go Meh. I personally think their Nasi Kuning is the best one I've ever eaten, and it's not expensive by a long shot for the amount of the dish. Their Nasi Kuning is usually out of stock near their closing hours so please do be mindful of that. One of the cleanest 'depot' restaurant in Surabaya. Service is quick and friendly.
