Gule Sum - Sum Bone Podo Joyo — Restaurant in Surabaya

I haven't been back here for more than 10 years. Initially, this was just a small road side vendor. The current mayor relocated them and gathered them in the current location called SENTRA KULINER DHARMAHUSADA.

It still sell the same old things with a same old recipes. It sells Mutton Satay (goat meat on the skewers) and Bone Marrow Gulai (thick spicy (no chilli) stew). The satay is juicy, tender, and dipped in a sweet soya sauce dressings. To me, it has no goat smell which to some people could be a turn off. The bone marrow gulai is tasty and soft. The soup is just nice. Not too thick and not too thin.

Personally, i still very much prefer to savour this kind of traditional javanese food serves in the traditional humble setting. You just can't find this in the more fancy resto.

Nice tasty food; eaten in the nice casual roadside food court; served with smile and friendliness from the Ibu and Bapak. That is what i call a fancy perfect. 😘🤩

Very tender & tasty sate with lots of peanut sweet sauces plus onion. With gule sumsum and rice would surely complete ur dinner time. Tender gule & soup is average but nice not smelly & not thick. There is sink wastafel available just next to the table.

Many other choices of food also available at the place. SWK DHARMAHUSADA just across BPJS office.
