The Surabaya branch officially opened on September 26, 2024, marking Me'nate's expansion into Indonesia after establishing outlets in Malaysia and London.
The restaurant has a hotel class n feel. Staff are alert n polite. U definitely can feel the expensive ambiance.
Mushroom soup was delightful n thick which had 2 mushroom cut pieces although the soup shld come 1st thy made a mess on which comes 1st. As u can see from their menu n I took the rib eye at 390k n wen u compare the meat size to wat I actually got, u felt nothing mo thn ripped off. It was cooked nicely at medium rare but the mashed potato was mo of a deco thn actually 4eating cos there’s just not enuf for a wholesome meal. The idea of fine dinning where the plate is bigger than the meal doesn’t really make sense. But I appreciate presentation is an art but don’t 4get we r there to eat. With most steaks priced above Rp200,000, I expected top-notch hospitality, but unfortunately, it was far from that. The service was disappointing—staff rarely smiled, and it was difficult to get their attention. They seemed understaffed on the floor, which affected response time significantly.
What really concerned me was when I checked their frozen meat display. I found a vacuum-sealed package with a strand of hair inside. After reporting it, there was no proper response, and shockingly, they put the same package back into the fridge as if nothing had happened. The staff who handled my complaint was also quite unfriendly, which left a really bad impression.
As for the food, the beef steak was disappointingly tough and lacked flavor. The lamb rack was decent, but almost all of the dishes arrived lukewarm, and I had to ask for a reheat.

Read moreWe had an overall great experience. The reservation process was easy, the parking staff was quick to act when we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated at the table by the server real quick and she was really helpful.
We didn't wait long for the food to arrive. We ordered bbq ribs, wagyu rawon, truffle bruschetta, and some fresh jucies. All was good and satisfying for a special day, which is my wife's birthday.
We also had a complimentary dessert to celebrate my wife's birthday (we asked first when we reserved). The staff would also play a song and sang together to celebrate the occasion while bringing you the cake. It was a wholesome experience. Loved it.
A suggestion would be to add brisket in the menu since this is a meat specialty restaurant. I love brisket and it'll be great if I can have it here.
