Mie Kedondong Soerabaja 1977 — Restaurant in Surabaya

I was looking for a classic "nonya style" menu. Some friends told me to try Mie Kedondong. The building tells you more about the menu. Surely classic. I ordered a bowl of Mie Pangsit Ayam. Noodle with boiled wonton and topped with minced chicken meat. Minced chicken meat are cooked in soy sauce and oyster sauce at first, give it a distinct taste. The noodle was perfectly cooked. Super lekker, super tasty, definitely hit my standards ❤ i had mie ayam special with 1 pangsit goreng and tasty minced chicken meat. They have this thin n soft noodle, and as far as i remember, the taste is exactly the same like many many years ago. The place itself is one of my favorite culinary options since highschool 😁

I ordered the pangsit mie ayam bakwan. Taste-wise, it wasn’t amazing, but it wasn’t bad either — just average.

The service was quite decent. Food was served quickly, and they accept payment via QRIS, which is convenient.

The place itself isn’t very spacious, but it’s clean and organized. Price-wise, it’s reasonably affordable.

Would I come back? Probably not. But for those who are curious, it’s worth trying...
