Tanamera Coffee Graha Famili — Restaurant in Surabaya

Previously i gave 3 out of 5 bout service bcause the waiter,barista service the FnB is Great . Updated ( 1 star is most suitable for the management in surabaya ,they seems like not escalated my complaint ,and they did not even contact me back probably a week after the JKT team called and give my number to them)

Story : But last night i was so disappointed with the way the security approach and ask the customer to leave with unnecessary word and impolite way!! Story :

Time is about 23:15 one of waitress already gave us info that in 15 minutes the area would be closed (at 23:30) , and i was not the only customer that still sitting in the area (Outdoor area near kolam) .

Suddenly at 23:17 the security from indoor approached us and say “ SUDAH MBAK SUDAH “

I asked himback ‘Sudah apa Pak, emang saya ngapain kok di bilang sudah sudah?” He : Sudah mbak sudah Tutup Me : Saya bilang barusan di inffo 15 menit lagi , kok kamu datang bilang sudah-sudah emang saya ngealkuin apa kok di sudah2 i” He ; Ya Sudah tutup , ga kasian pegwainya ya mau pulang (the intonation was high) Me : (really when that word came out from his mouth) got me freak out and fyi the other customer in that area also look at us it was so embarrassed . Lanjut : Lha tadi saya di info di bilang 15 menit sampe 23:30 sama mbak waiternya kok He : Siapa memang tadi yg bilang 15 menit ? (He was doubting my answer) Me ; Calling the waitress that gave us the info before, to reconfirm the info ( tbh i shout loud at that time because the situation was tense ) Mbak tadi yang blg kan msih 15 menit dan ttup 23; 30 Waitress: ya mbak 15 mnit 23;30 kan After the confirmation from the waitress , the security only said “ YA SUDAH “ and went inside indoor area without said any apologize and did not treated other customer that also still in that area the same way the way he treated my table ( i feel like he treated us differently from other customer ). The waitress and one of the barista I know was asking for an apology, but not even a single word come from the securities mouth for saying sorry or give us any explanation. I’m not sure that the security attitude is representing Tanamera coffee.

To be honest both of TM in Surabaya is my ‘go to’ place for hang out with friends or just spent time by myself. But Last night event was making me think twice to go...

Excellent coffee at fairly reasonable prices (although it’s annoying that the prices stated exclude taxes, so you end up paying higher than expected), though the serving is quite small (pictured is a cappuccino; look at the flower glass vase for scale). Nevertheless, the quality kind of makes up for the small serving size. Went here a second time and had their iced latte, which also tasted delicious and refreshing. The third time I went here, I ordered their black cold brew, because it seems to be quite popular on social media. I think you should definitely get cold brew when you’re at Tanamera because it was one of the best cold brew coffees I’ve tasted to date (mind you, I’ve tasted several coffeeshops’ renditions of cold brew coffee, and Tanamera’s is one of the top contenders). For IDR 40,000, you get a 300ml bottle of strong cold brew coffee, perfect for when you need a caffeine jolt to get you out of your afternoon slump. I have yet to try any of their food items, so I can’t comment on them. All I know is come here for quality coffee and a nice space with lots of natural light to chat with...

Nothing to complain really. Nice atmosphere, the music isnt too loud so you don't have to yell while having a conversation. The waiters are nice and helpful, the food, tho not in the top notch when compared to other restaurants in the same price range, is still quite good.

They're famous for the coffee, unfortunately I don't drink coffee in the meantime. I had carbonara pasta and lychee mojito. The carbonara is close to the authentic one. A little bland to my taste. The mojito itself is refreshing. You can't go wrong with mojitos tho, this one is no exception.

Overall, if you're in search of a good specialty coffee, you might want to come here. However if you're not a coffee drinker, like me, you might not get the best experience they can offer since there are many other cafes and restaurants serving better food at...
