Samara Indonesian Dining — Restaurant in West Java

So, this restaurant is a dream come true for anyone who loves freebies. From the moment we walked in, they were practically showering us with goodies. A free welcome drink? Check! Banana and tempe chips on the house? Check! And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, they brought out an amuse bouche with a delicious beef patty (forgot the name 😓). Felt like we came here to have free lunch 😄

But every fairy tale has its villain. Ours came in the form of a few uninvited guests. Flies 🪰 to be exact, that join our lunch. Since this restaurant is open window and has no aircon, any creatures can come and hop on to our table.

We ordered Nasi Bakar, two Nasi Timbel, and Pisang Goreng Epe, with non-alcoholic beverages. In total we spent Rp 738k for four people, which isn't too bad considering all the freebies and the bonus...

Ordered Vanilla Gelato and Es Goyobod Kabayan. First of all, the waitress doesn't know what's available and not available. We asked if there are other gelato flavors and she unsurely responded with flavors that she think is available but actually isn't. Anyway, we ordered vanilla gelato and it took almost 30 minutes for them to arrive, and its not even a gelato, its a normal ice cream (tasted like ice cream you buy at convenience store). So I actually did not expect much of the place as I thought it was just a restaurant at a hotel, but we went here for dinner after a long hiking trip and decided to go for the Course meal.

It was not expensive, the course meal was only 350K with a 4 course dinner with some welcoming snacks. As it was Not so expensive (for a course dinner) we didn’t expect much, but the food was absolutely amazing! Such a delight!
