Bale Tajuk Cafe was absolutely fabulous! Trust that you can stop reading this review now - just go eat there. DELICIOUS!

First of all, the menu is enormous. Usually, this is a negative sign for us - but after eating numerous dishes - there is no question - EVERYTHING YOU EAT HERE WILL BE DELICIOUS! They take great pride in their food and service.

The three of us came here for lunch and had Fried Tempeh, Chicken Taliwang, Beef Rengdang, and the Spiciest Peulcing ever. The staff kept warning us it was spicy and we were like no problem just bring. All the staff watched intensely as we devoured every bite and laughed when we had to take a drink from the spice. It was truly wonderful!

The restaurant was very clean, the staff were warm and friendly. We love that the menu was hand written. Just a cool touch. The prices were very fair and the portions were large.

They are located in a good spot in between the best hotel (Taman Unique Hotel) and the evening hot spot (Happy Cafe).

Truly, the food here is incredible. We will absolutely return when we are back in Lombok!

I visited twice - first I had Beef Rendang, the meal was quite tasty, albeit a very different than any Rendang I had before (strong curry creamy sauce rather than your usual red spicy stew). I figured this is a local take on the meal and since I kinda liked the taste, I visited again next day to have Ayam Taliwang (a completely different dish not known to me before which I wanted to sample).

To my utter surprise, my chicken came covered in the identical curry creamy sauce as the beef day before, at which point I realized that instead of actually serving local delicacies, you simply get the meat matching your choice, covered in a generic curry sauce and sold to you as a local cuisine.

This, in my view, is an incredible laziness of the cook and a 100% tourist trap. 2 stars only for the fact that the meals were still perfectly edible - but it is a scam on tourists nonetheless and I now need to visit some honest places to actually taste the meals I believed I was ordering.

INCREDIBLE!! Best place to eat in Senggigi. They have a super large menu, with indonesian dishes, kurry, fish, meat, shellfishes, thai, and western food such as sandwhiches, burguers, pizza or pasta. The food its extremelly delicious and they are huge portions. The praces are the best. But the extraordinary its the service, you truly feel like home, they are always asking how was it, they care about what you think of the food and the service all the time. Also they gave a free desert for each one of us so it was amazing! Really, if you are looking for a good place to eat, don't look more, you will nor get...
