Sakapatat Beer House & Resto — Restaurant in Yogyakarta

I came here with friends to celebrate a birthday. This place is always my go-to place as they have tap beer and variety of drinks. But unfortunately, the experience today was disappointing from start to finish.

We had confirmed via Instagram dm that the bar would be open until 2 AM. However, when we arrived, we were told they were closing at 1 AM. That kind of misleading information really threw off our plans.

Most of the drinks were already unavailable, only beer, soju, and a few wines left. We ended up ordering a bottle of wine (it’s not even cold), and the server told us we’d be getting a discount and gave us a price range that we would be paying.

As soon as we placed the order, a woman came over with the bill, no smile, just an unpleasant attitude. When we mentioned the discount the server promised, she responded rudely and told us we havent claim the discount ?????????? It felt like poor communication between the staff. Shouldn’t the staff be communicating with each other instead of blaming the customer who JUST ordered?

To top it off, while we were still drinking, the staff had already started cleaning everything up around us. The whole atmosphere just screamed “we’re closing, pls finish your drink ASAP.” Even our table candle wasn’t lit when we got there. It honestly felt like they wanted us out the moment we sat down.

We really tried to enjoy the night, but the lack of hospitality and mixed messages just ruined the vibe. Especially since it was my friend’s birthday. I am so embarassed. She should get a better service on her special day. This place has potential, but they seriously need to work on communication, service, and creating a welcoming environment. I recently visited SAKAPATAT in Yogyakarta and had a mixed experience. The ambiance of the place is absolutely lovely. The music is great—pleasant and not too loud, making it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, with a charming interior that makes you feel right at home.

The staff at SAKAPATAT deserve a special mention for their friendliness and attentiveness. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. They were accommodating and helpful, ensuring that all my needs were met throughout my visit.

One of the highlights of SAKAPATAT is their data service. As someone who needs to stay connected, I appreciated the reliable and fast internet, which allowed me to get some work done while enjoying my time there.

However, the food was a bit of a letdown. We ordered a burger and a pizza, and both were underwhelming. The pizza base was more like a tortilla than a traditional pizza crust, and it was slightly overpriced for the quality, with sparse cheese. The portions were small for the price, and the taste was just mediocre. Given the other wonderful aspects of the café, I was hoping for a more satisfying culinary experience.

Overall, SAKAPATAT has a lot going for it with its great music, friendly staff, and lovely atmosphere, but there’s definitely room for improvement in the food department. If you’re looking for a pleasant place to hang out and enjoy some good vibes, SAKAPATAT is worth a visit, but manage your expectations when it comes...

Disappointed with the service. Specially with one specific waitress on my table.

First thing my friend ordered a cold drink requested the ice cubes to be taken out, but the drink came out with ice cubes. So she asked for it to be taken out, but came back still with the ice cubes. Then the waitress explained that it's been a busy night so the bartender might have been mistaken for the order. I mean tbh it's none of my business actually, that's your job. So my friend still insisted that she didn't want the ice cubes, then the waitress came back with an excuse that they ran out of an orange juice to make the drink. And then my friend ordered another drink and strongly requested without ice cubes, and you know what this time the waitress said "maybe you can explain it your self to the bartender what you want" what the...!!!??? So my friend canceled all the order ended up not drinking anything!!! And surprisingly few moments later new customer on the table next to us ordered the same thing, WOW THEY STILL HAVE THE ORANGE JUICE!!!

Second thing at first I ordered a dessert chocolate lava cake. After waiting an hour I asked the same waitress where's my cake?
