ViewLunch: A Masterclass in How to Treat People Like They’re Beneath You. I have never written a review like this before, but this experience still weighs on me — and not in a good way. My friend and I went out of our way to get to ViewLunch, walking in the scorching evening heat like fools chasing the idea of decent hospitality. It wasn’t just hot — it was unbearable. We pushed through all that discomfort just to sit down and enjoy what we thought would be a peaceful break. Instead, we were met with the kind of treatment that leaves you shaking your head days later.
We politely asked for two cups of tea — nothing more. And then came one of the most dismissive, self-important, and attitude-ridden staff members I’ve ever encountered in any establishment. who I’m convinced was either hired for his ability to ruin moods or just woke up choosing violence — He walked up like he was doing us a favor just by acknowledging us and proceeded to say, with the most condescending tone possible, that we couldn’t order tea. According to him, tea could only be ordered “at night,” not in the evening. What kind of made-up nonsense is that?
But here’s where it becomes outright insulting: we sat there and watched other tables being served tea, hookah, and everything else with a smile. Other customers were getting treated like royalty, while we were treated like we didn’t belong. There was no policy issue — this was someone deciding we weren’t worth the service. And the worst part? I’ve been to this place before and ordered tea during the same hours with no issue. So what changed?
That level of selective treatment is not just unprofessional — it’s offensive. We weren’t loud, we weren’t rude — we simply expected to be treated like every other customer. But instead, we got a walking display of arrogance dressed as a server, clearly more interested in showing off power than doing his job.
ViewLunch is the kind of place that pretends to be high-end while practicing the lowest form of hospitality. That one visit was more than enough to show me who they really are, and I won’t be stepping foot there again. If they ever want to be taken seriously, they need to learn that respect isn’t something you ration — it’s something you owe to every single person who walks...

The management insisted on offering a delicious selection of desserts on the house before we...
