Vitto's Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in County Leitrim

I booked 3 tables in Vittos, the Italian restaurant in Carrick-On-Shannon. Each table had been booked separately. When I arrived at the restaurant, I informed the lady at the door that I had a table booked for 6 people. At this stage I had a veil on my head and the lady was being a little difficult and was like hang on, we don’t accept hen parties here. I informed her that we had tables booked and she had the nerve to call me ‘deceptive’. Saying they don’t usually accept hen parties.

Now, for a start none of us expected a massive table together. We were all happy to sit at our separate tables to enjoy our meal. My friends and I are not disruptive, loud women. All the girls behaved responsibly, displayed their digital certificates wore facemasks and followed normal protocols. We simply wanted to eat. I wasn’t in a position where I was going to march my friends down to the chipper.

This same lady made out like if the manager saw us, he would be angry. So apparently this manager hates seeing customers? It didn’t stop them charging us for service charge. Yeah, great service so far. Paying to be told you’re ‘deceptive’.

Everyone else sitting down at this restaurant just booked a table and minded their own business. Why did she think we were going to be any different? Maybe they’ve had bad experiences in the past, but we gave them absolutely no trouble and we arrived on time. I even took the veil off my head to accommodate the lady complaining and she warned us not to disrupt people by shouting or moving across tables.

I’ve had to move my wedding three times which has already been stressful enough. To be honest, the last thing I need is some woman who doesn’t know me calling me ‘deceptive’ and basically pissing all over my parade. Very bad experience. First I booked 2 tables of 6 and when we arrived only 1 was booked in. Once seated our drinks order was taken. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and a jug of water. 20 minutes later and after asking 3 staff members we finally got glasses. Starters were on time but prawns over cooked. An hour later they cleared the table and then we got the mains. One girl got chips and calamari which was given 20 minutes apart. 2 of us got carbanora which was extremely watery, a sign of under cooked. We complained to the waiter about this but nothing was done. When paying we again complained only to be told that they would never have taken our booking if the knew it was a hens party which we were not. I had booked it for my birthday so she was very presumptuous. We did get a 10% discount and told the manager would ring which he didn't. A meal which should have been finished within 1 1/2 hours took nearly 3. Also they allowed customers to smoke at the tables and never gave clean cutlery for mains. Would definitely...

Just finished a wonderful meal in Vittos, its a cold wet November evening, I was greeted with a smile and shown to my table by the lovely Lithuanian hostess. A quick bottle of Corona and I was ready to order from the menu. They have an early bird menu two courses for 19.95 which is excellent value. I opted for the standard menu and chose the vegetable soup to start and the Vittos burger for a main course. The portions are huge here so be careful what you order.. The soup had brown bread served along side, which was absolutely delicious.. The soup served in a huge bowl was also delicious. The main course was well presented and again of huge portions. I could not finish it all.. I had hoped to have a desert but I could not eat another morsel. Excellent food, excellent choice and reasonable prices with wonderful staff.. You must try this...
