Spice India Longford — Restaurant in County Longford

One of the best Indian restaurants in Ireland. Easily the best samosas I've had anywhere in Ireland. But everything was world class. Including the service.

If I lived anywhere near Longford I'd eat here weekly, but the three times I've been the food, service and attention to detail have been spectacular.

The waitress told us the owner opened it as a passion project, because of his love of cooking, and bot does it show.

I had Chicken Biryiani and even the cashews were better than what you'd normally get. As were the sauces.

This is, or appears to be a franchise, with branches at various locations. The atmosphere is somewhat cold, and it lacks a genuine ambiance, although the staff are pleasant. I found the food to be unremarkable and quite average, so I shall not be using this restaurant again. Probably alright is you can't get a table elsewhere.

Meanwhile, I have discovered another Indian restaurant in Dublin Street which is warm and genuinely welcoming with a lovely intimate atmosphere,. This is truly ideal for a romantic date, the food and the service are both extremely good....

Always a good meal, it's rare to find restaurant quality Indian food where we live but these guys are very accommodating delivering to Lanesborough. They even occasionally cook dishes not on the menu which shows the experience of the kitchen team. We don't get too many deliveries but when we do it's a bit of an event in the house, the great thing about this place is the reliability and quality of the food.
