DHAKA TANDOORI RESTAURANT — Restaurant in County Mayo

Absolutely stellar service from a friendly and hard working staff. They were well able to have the craic with us while providing massive portions of some perfectly cooked tikka masala and rice, we were having a birthday party and they remembered the candles for the cake where we didn't. The spiciness was well laid out on the menus so no one didn't know what they were getting themselves into, and even if it was too much you could counteract it with some delicious and perfectly cooked sweet or garlic naan. This paired with some lovely art along the walls, well decorated tables and authentic music made for an experience I'll definitely be back for.

No welcome by the manager who barely speaks English. Table disposable nylon cover is ripped and overused. Manager gave us the menu and left without saying a word. Food came in and there were flies in the restaurant around us and he did not make the slightest effort to remove them. The manager sat on the table beside us and opened youtube on his loudspeaker, what an exquisite dining atmosphere! The food tastes like nothing (neutral). If I can rate zero, I would not hesitate. We paid and left, no good bye and no please come again....

Considering we were the only ones in there you’d have thought it wouldn’t be hard to produce a nice chicken tikka masala and a rogan josh. Neither dish resembled what was asked for in any way despite being announced as the dishes we ordered. The only reason we ate any was because we were tired and starving from climbing a mountain all day. Over half our dishes left. The naan was ok.
