Honestly Farm Kitchen is a fantastic spot in Strandhill, and it was a real lifesaver for us during our holiday. Located right on the beach, it's the only grocery option in the immediate area, which makes it incredibly convenient. You can find everything you need here without having to walk 10 minutes or more to other shops. But itâs so much more than just a convenient store. Itâs a wonderful farm shop with a great selection of high-quality, local products. We were particularly impressed with their range of groceries and necessities, from fantastic coffee (both ground and beans) to fresh dairy, artisan bread, farm-fresh eggs, and a variety of vegetables and greens. They also have a great cupboard selection and a thoughtful array of craft beers and wines. While some of the prices reflect the high quality and local sourcing, you can definitely taste the difference. In addition to the shop, Honestly Farm Kitchen also operates as a restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Although we didn't get a chance to dine in this time, we've heard wonderful things and itâs at the top of our list for our next visit. The menu looks great and it's clear they put the same care into their food as they do with their shop products. Honestly Farm Kitchen is a must-visit spot in Strandhill. Whether youâre stopping in for some essentials, grabbing a great coffee, or sitting down for a meal, you canât go wrong. Itâs a place that truly embodies the local, high-quality ethos...
Read moreIâve previously reviewed Honestly in Carrick on Shannon, and itâs one of the most magical places this side of HogwartsâŚ
Today is the turn of our very own surfers paradise⌠where the waves meet the shore in beautiful Strandhill.
Unfortunately, Honestly in Strandhill is not a drive through like Carrick on Shannon⌠although I did have a quick look at the door, and I reckon if you were in a Smart Car, you might stand a chance.
The premise of the promise in this premises is similar to its Leitrim counterpart- Cracking food, Organic, farm reared, and tasty.
It does not disappoint⌠on a table for 6 (birthday, dontchaknowâŚ) everything was perfect. Chicken of crispy crunchy perfection, beef so tender and tasty, brioche buns so soft they defy logic, hand cut fries, sweet potato chips⌠Jesus, this place needs to be nominated for some class of food oscars!!!
One thing that leaves this place streets above Carrick is the view⌠I mean, whatâs not to love about looking out the windows upstairs to see the lights glinting on the waves at the shore?!?!
Leitrim trumps on the drive through for sneaky man burgers, but Strandhill IS in Sligo, and EVERYBODY knows Sligo is the best place in the entire world.
Honestly, Iâm glad thereâs an Honestly in Sligo.
20/10 for...
