Having dined here previously we returned because it was excellent the last time but unfortunately not the same this time. The restaurant was busy so we were happy to eat in the outside area which was perfect apart from the table not been that clean. Our starters arrived except for one which we had to ask them where it was. It was a seafood chowder so there was no real excuse for this. Our main courses arrived eventually, mine was cold and had to be returned and my daughters wraps came with ours but we had to ask for the beef taco as there was no sign of it to come. When it arrived a very nice and hardworking waiter apologised as someone else was supposed to have brought it out. We ordered some extra drinks and had to ask a second time for them. We had no issues sitting in the outside area but it felt like second class service out there. We were very disappointed with this visit compared to the last time...

We had the pleasure of eating at the Venue on the evening of June 19th, we were a party of 7. We had a drink at the bar in a very relaxed atmosphere where the bar service was excellent. The restaurant menu were given to us & we had a vast selection to choose from, our server was so attentive & professional, he advised on the menu selection. We were advised that the food was ready very promptly, we were given a prime seat in the window overlooking the bay. What a view. The food was amazing & the service was first class. Chicken wings to share were the best ever, Prawn Pil Pil were also a favourite for a starter. The main courses are fantastic together with deserts, drink & above all the attention of the young man that served the table, he was incredible with his attention to every detail, he is a credit to his employer through his commitment to...

Lovely restaurant. They have lovely chicken wings 😊 always my favourite. Had visit recently with my husband and baby, high chair for baby was accommodated for us, such relief to have you hands free while eating 🤣 staff was super friendly but I had feeling like I wasn't able to eat in peace as there was 3 waiters coming to your table in the space of only few minutes. The place was more than half empty so they were not short in space, also we had booked our table in advance we supposed to have 2h slot but it was very stressful for me that I had waiters coming to my table all the time, I was not feeling comfortable, I was feeling like I'm pain in ar^e and I have to leave as soon as possible. Just because I love the food and maybe they didn't mean it I will leave it at 5 start but I think I will take my food for take...

Stellar staff - attentive, informed of their menu, quick and super friendly. Beautiful view during daylight hours and wonderfully decorated for the holiday season. I had an amazing ribeye, cooked blue (rare) as requested, which many restaurants don't do or do correctly. Kudos and thank you!! The rosemary cream with it was a perfect pairing. Also had the pistachio creme brulee which was good although very dense because of the pistachios... Not quite as expected. Also ordered the surf and turf with a wonderful au jus that had him noting "they spend time getting their sauces right". 🤗 Nice wine selection, as well.

This place is top notch in every way, as soon as we walked in the staff greeted us with the most friendly of welcome. Plus the place itself has a nice vibe, the decor is fantastic, and the view of the sea from the rear of the restaurant is just class. We all opted for the beer battered haddock & chips, it was the nicest fish & chips I've ever had. We had done a long trip along the wild Atlantic way with some lovely places to eat, but this place was superior to all, and the staff were so nice. Also the price of our food was very good, would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Good views, good service, good Guinness. Their food offer is fresh prices for frozen food. Even the muscles were boiled too long such they were the size of peas not broad beans. The fish is all frozen as the meat was dry. The mornay tasted good but cover some fish in cheese sauce, it's going to be good. So, not refined eating and alot of chef shortcuts evident in the food. 2 pints, 2 mains and one starter for £70 is too rich for what you get. Saying that, the restaurants in town are as expensive for worse food so your options are limited.
