My husband and I had our date night here tonight. We both agreed that this is hands down the BEST Indian food we have ever had!!! The restaurant is clean and tidy. Such a cute little place in the Blackrock Market! The first person we met was Milie. She greeted us at the door with a big smile and led us to our table by the window. The staff are all so attentive and friendly. They really do make your experience that much more special.
The food!! Oh I don’t even know where to start! Everything is so tasty that you just want to lick the plate clean. Even a picky eater like my husband left nothing behind!
For starters we had the boneless chicken thighs and jumbo prawns! Both so so delicious!! The chicken thighs are tender & juicy. I have no idea what is in chef’s signature sauce but it’s amazing!! The jumbo prawns were just perfect! I love the salads on the side and the colors + presentation of the dish. There were also these little yellow crunchy things sprinkled over both dishes....they complete them!!
For mains I had the taster menu and my husband had the boneless chicken thighs. Mine was perfect for me because I got to sample a little bit of everything. The presentation again is on point 👌🏻 Love the colorful rice, Indian bread, rice pop cracker thing and banana leaf on my plate. Chicken was so yum. Lamb was so tender. Lentil was dreamy. There was also this potato dish and fried spinach...ahh I don’t know. Everything was soooo good!!!
We need to talk about dessert now!!!! Carrot Halwa Trifle! What is that right? Just try it. It was absolutely lovely!! The Mango Dulaat ki Chaat was pretty good too but the carrot 🥕 one was a clear winner for both of us!!
Thank you 3 Leaves for an amazing meal! We will definitely be back for lunch and...

I had high expectations for Three leaves given its award-winning reputation, but unfortunately, my experience this weekend was far from impressive.
First, the mains I ordered, gobi manchurian and parotta was undercooked as I started eatimg I could taste the raw the chickpea flour/ besan and it was not fried well, i suspect it was just high heat frying by someone not that experienced and the parotta was hard too, which is unacceptable at a restaurant of this caliber. I did not want to raise this at the restaurant with Milly as I didnt want to spoil a nice catch up lunch with our American and Irish friends. To make matters worse, the spice level was also overwhelming, completely overpowering the actual flavors of the ingredients although my spice threshold is quite high, I found the manchurian very very spicy and oily.. Overall the uncooked manchurian and the spice got my tummy upset last night.
On top of the not so great food, the prices were exorbitant. I don’t mind paying for a great dining experience, but when the quality doesn’t match the cost, it feels like a rip-off. And not sure, if it's for sustainability but each one is supposed to take a picture of the menu before they sit down, which I didn't find suitable for this day and age when you can access menus with QR codes
Overall, sadly Three leaves did not live up to its reputation. Between the poorly prepared food, excessive spice, and high prices, I left feeling disappointed. Definitely not a place...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at 3 Leaves restaurant in Blackrock, just outside Dublin, and I must say it was an extraordinary culinary experience. The Indian food served here surpassed all my expectations and left a lasting impression.
From the moment I stepped in, Milie, the owner, warmly welcomed me with her genuine hospitality, making me feel right at home. The restaurant's location nestled in an alleyway on a quaint market street added to its charm and created a unique ambiance.
One aspect that impressed me greatly was the restaurant's attentiveness to food allergies. They were extremely accommodating and took great care to ensure that all dietary requirements were met. This level of consideration for their customers' needs truly set 3 Leaves apart.
Now, let's talk about the food itself. I had the pleasure of indulging in the Iddiyappam and egg curry, and I must say it was an outstanding combination. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delightful explosion of taste. Additionally, the Dhal and Sabzi were wonderfully authentic, complemented by the most incredible peas I've ever had.
Overall, I can't recommend 3 Leaves enough if you find yourself in Dublin. The combination of exceptional Indian cuisine, Milie's warm hospitality, and the restaurant's charming location make it an absolute must-visit. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable dining experience that will leave you...
