Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

Standards have gone down in recent times it is not as clean as it use to be. I was there recently, it was the week of the double points, I paid for my order and I pointed out that I had not gotten double points to the girl serving me. She didn't know about the promotion and asked her manager who said it would appear on my card next time. A friend of mine arrived and I got another order no extra points again. I ask the waitress if I could speak to the manager. 15 minutes later as I left the manager still had not appeared. This is not the way to treat your customer's. I go in at least once a week but as there is now an Insomnia Coffee Shop up the road maybe I will have to reconsider where I get my coffee. The costa shop in Dun Laoghaire is also a better spot. Hopefully when I do go into the shop my problem will be resolved. Stand by for update

Update I finally got the double points I was due. Seemingly the store's had not been informed by Head Office. So Happy with the outcome I still like the shop but it could be improved by getting on top of...

I have been going to this Costa all 12 years of my life but today was different

Me and my friend were waiting for one of our mates and we knew there was a if you don’t buy food your kicked out and we told them we were just waiting for our mate and he was going to order something, one our mate arrived we sat down just to catch up after a long summer break and then this lady came up to us and said get out your not order anything and I said excuse me my friend is ordering and she said no he is not

I hate that service it is awful and know it’s silly coming from a 12 year old but don’t go here I even rang them and a polite lady answered and said she will talk to staff

I'm not a fan but because of the extortionate prices on everything bar a simple Americano but... Let me tell you a story: I came out of Tesco with two steak and kidney pies, a can of beans and six eggs in my hands, no bag (true story). I realized I had some time before next appointment so went into Costa for a quick Coffee. Asked for a bag for my messages and was given one, staff member hugged another member of staff and thanked her for helping her get through the day before she left, it was all good to see and a helpful visit.
