One of the best cafés in Dublin. The food and coffee are top notch. We tried the açai bowl which, for 8 euro, is very filling and rich in ingredients. We also had a roll with roasted squash, some more veggies and manchego cheese and WOW what an amazing combination + the crunchiness of the bread. They also had very nice looking treats which are freshly made on site each day and they use lots of fruits. We will need to come back to try! Even though the indoor space is limited (only a wall table), which can be a bad set-up in winter time or rainy Dublin, their outdoor terrace is lovely and there are quite a few tables to enjoy the good weather! The location is really good as it is a step-away from Phoenix Park. I definitely recommend going for a ride in the park and then heading for brunch to BaaBaa! The staff is super friendly and they make you feel at home. In fact, they took wrong our oat lattes order (coconut instead of oat milk), we went back to point it out and they made them from scratch with the right milk with a smile. Although they automatically serve the coffee in takeaway cups, you can ask to get your coffee in ceramic cups - which in my opinion make coffee taste better. They have breakfast menu on offer until 12pm and lunch menu after that time (so be aware as the food offer changes) We'll definitely go back soon to try their Chai french toasts, shashouka and some of...
Read moreOur visit to Baabaa Cafe today was nothing short of extraordinary. We arrived an hour before closing, only to find they were out of all brunch items. However, what followed was a heartwarming display of hospitality and kindness.
First, their raspberry custard cinnamon scroll and brownie were truly exceptional, an explosion of flavors and textures.
Before the lovely cashier went to the kitchen to retrieve the sandwiches, she had already offered us complimentary banana bread to make up for the lack of savory items. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for our visit.
The cashier discovered three sandwiches left and generously offered them to us for free, despite us accepting just one. It wasn't their fault they ran out of brunch items, but they went above and beyond to accommodate us.
I have a broken foot, and I hopped my way into the cafe today because I love it so much. The caring and sweet gestures from the Baabaa Cafe team made every hop more than worth it.
Baabaa Cafe, you've won our hearts with your delicious treats and exceptional service. We can't wait to return for more!...
Read more1 x large coffee, 1 x orange juice, 1 x sausage roll was Eur12.80. The coffee of Eur3.30 was reasonable given the going rate seems inexplicably to be Eur3.70 now (such as Twirly Gate!). The sausage roll at Eur4.50 is steep but was large and very tasty. But the fresh orange juice at Eur5.00 for a small plastic cup (same size as coffee cup) was extorianate. The quality is very good but the pricing is in line with the runaway ripoff across all businesses in this country at the moment. As a local this pushes me away from frequenting this business on a regualr basis, which I would like, to only once in a bluemoon "as a weekend treat". There has to be happier balance between cost, price and volume. Prices not displayed inside either so you only realise when being rung in on till, so after you've committed to purchase, a sales tactic used by alot of small businesses...
