Extremely disappointing experience.

From the start, the service was chaotic. Our group of five was crammed into a table meant for four, despite plenty of available tables in a not-so-busy restaurant. The server repeatedly dropped items—drinks, cutlery, even food—at one corner of the table without bothering to ask who ordered what. It felt careless and unprofessional.

Multiple orders were incorrect. We specifically asked for two sandwiches with no tomato or onion, yet both came wrong. We ordered soup and sandwiches and were served soup and crisps instead. When I asked about the missing soup that was meant to come with my sandwich, it eventually arrived—with a bread roll we never ordered. Another person at our table had the exact same issue.

To make matters worse, when my soup finally arrived, it came without a spoon. I had to sit and wait for two minutes to flag someone down just to be able to eat it.

The food itself was underwhelming—just okay at best. The soup had a slimy texture, and the fact that most of our orders were wrong didn’t help the experience. We were also charged €3.50 for a bottle of water, even though I clearly asked for tap water.

Both servers seemed far more interested in chatting with each other than paying attention to customers. There was zero attentiveness or basic courtesy.

Overall, it felt like I did more work than the waitstaff. Abysmal service doesn’t even begin to cover it. I will definitely not...

I can’t say anything on the restaurant food it was lovely but staff really lack customer service experience! Like the cafe that was there before very poor customer service! Walked in the guy that seated us was lovely but the waitresses awful standing and talking I was sitting there for ages waiting for someone to come take my order had to call out to them so many times 3 times in fact but they were too busy chatting to each other! It wasn’t busy when we got there! After our food was brought which was really nice can’t fault it the waitress never asked was everything ok nor do we need anything else so again I had to seek them out myself because they were too busy chatting amongst themselves to get some water! And I got a very dirty look of one of the park waitresses! I’m not one to complain but I’ve never experienced this in any other cafe or restaurant and I’m really just upset about it! I know I wasn’t the only one to feel like that as I seen a couple walk in was seated and because they sat there for too long and no1 went to ask their order they got up and left they seemed upset too! ( I wanted to get up and leave myself but we were too hungry and tired) The restaurant will do well as it’s the only one of its kind in Ballyfermont but staff need to be retrained to have better customer service skills and be more attentive and aware of...

Went to Lock & Brew last night with a group of 6 work colleagues. We ordered our food & when the starters came out 1 was wrong & 1 was delayed. Our mains came & the 1 pizza which was ordered, was late arriving to the table & came out as the rest of the dinners were almost eaten. The pizza wasn't eaten & the owner apologised & agreed to remove it from the bill. A glass of wine was then removed from the table & when my friend mentioned it to the owner he brought the young girl over to our table to say the glass was empty. This was not good customer service as it made my friend feel she was lying. While the food we did get was tasty the service let the place down. When I paid, the manager said we had the staff running ragged as we had requested to pay for drinks separately. We asked when we went in was that ok & were told that would be no problem.
