A bad vibe coming from this place. More like a bad fraternity party than an actual pub. “Live music” consisted of a previously unfriendly waiter yelling into a microphone a White Stripes song. Wait staff were really unfriendly because 1. I’m not 20 and 2. I’m not female. My worst pub experience in my 10 day trip to Ireland. Luckily, I had more nights in Dingle, and found several nicer pubs with friendly staff and patrons and really nice Irish music and dance. If reliving your college nightmare is your thing - you might dig this place.

EDITED TO ADD COMMENTS AFTER OWNER TORCHES CUSTOMER: There are SO many ways you could have gone here. "Sorry you didn't have a good time. Must have come after the live music ended, etc." (Which, in retrospect, must have been the case.) You could have said a hundred different things in which the reader would have thought "okay, guy had a bad time, owner tried responding to it."

No, you went with the "It's not US, it's YOU avenue," which is an effective marketing technique as long as it's 1967. I was driven to review your establishment on whatever bogus social media site this is because your place stood out as the most singular unpleasant experience we had in Ireland on a 2 week trip. This, you see, is my "narrative," not some blood feud from 1870.

Sometimes when I'm traveling, I've made some mistakes. In Paris, I sat down at a outdoor cafe by seating myself. Big no-no. Here, I spent a fair amount of time asking myself, "Why was I treated so shabbily here?" What did I do wrong? I was pleasant, I tipped really well, what could I have done differently? The only thing I can come up with is that I'm not your demographic - so I'm not worthy of your attention except if I decide to post a meaningless review on a...

First off, let me apologize on behalf of my countrymen. This may well have once been an exceptional establishment - but American tourists have completely ruined it. No craic at all, just Bob and Bertha from Chillicothe, Ohio and Brad, Chad, Thad, and Tad from the Florida State chapter of Alpha Gamma Whatever sucking back white-label Jameson like it's the only whiskey the Republic ever produced. You'll hear Irish voices... out of the waitstaff. We were in there about 45 minutes and aside from one older gent at the bar, did not see a single patron who wasn't here on a 90-day tourist visa. The "authentic Irish musician" was cribbing the lyrics to "Fiddler's Green" off a bloody iPad, for crying out loud. The food, though, is excellent - if you think you've had a fine meal at the end of a night out at Applebee's, TGI Friday's, or any of the horrifying faux Irish pubs in Boston or on River Street in Savannah. If you've a palate of any kind, you'll spot that everything on the menu tastes as though it was caught fresh in the freezer section of the Centra down the street. Don't get me wrong - if you came over here from the States looking to experience the exact same factory-produced, flavorless, Middle-America food we eat back home, you'll LOVE it. But if you want a good meal, cooked with fresh, local ingredients, you'll want to keep walking. There's an excellent ice cream place...

Terrible service Sept. 4th, 2022- my wife and I had the best experience in Dingle(all of Ireland for that matter) until we chose to get dinner and a drink at The Dingle Pub to hear some local music. The pubs are all similar in Dingle - same vibe, same type of(great) people, and same local music so the only thing that would set the pubs apart is the service and food... the food here was below average and service was awful from the get go. Some of the lowlights - The young kid who sat us had an attitude problem and was rudely short in any answer he gave us... for example when we asked to see a drink menu rather than answer he just pointed to small chalk sign that listed a few types of Whiskey - even worse, at the bottom of the list it said "please ask for a menu!" The female server was even worse - she never checked on us and pretended to not see me when waiving at her to try to order more drinks then she threw the recipt at my wife when we finally flagged her down to ask for the check.

I kept trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but after the 4th terrible interaction we cut our losses and got out of there - we even left them a far bigger tip than they deserve just because we didn't want to wait around to deal with the service to get change.

Support any other pub if you can - this town survives on tourism and there are so many other deserving pubs and...

Atmosphere looks great and the music was entertaining, but we stopped in on Easter weekend... So it was busy as heck! Even so, we waited only 15-20 minutes for a table.. the table we got was like coffee table with a shelf so couldn't really get comfortable, but it was cozy enough so wouldn't stop us going back. Wasn't too keen about the food - me steak sandwich came out luke warm (fries, piping hot) so, while the meat was very tender it was kinda disappointedly cold - felt like I got a cancelled order with fries... But it was very busy so may go back if ever visiting again. Server was wonderful - they all were being efficient and we're busing tables the moment they're empty. 🍺tj

Good atmosphere and great service but the food was okay. I came to the pub to try their Seafood Chowder as it was highly recommended on the internet. However, when we got our chowder soup, we were disappointed. The soup has a strong Star Anise and seafood sent. There were too many star anise bits to chew when eating the soup. We were wondering if a kitchen staff has made a mistake as it was really too much. Probably won’t come again as a pint of Guinness here is also a lot more expensive than the other pubs near by.

If you’re looking for an authentic Irish experience in Dingle, The Dingle Pub is the place to go. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with traditional Irish décor and often live music to complete the vibe. The food was great—classic Irish dishes that hit the spot after a day of exploring. From hearty stews to fresh seafood, everything was well-prepared and delicious. Whether you’re after a pint of Guinness or a cozy place to enjoy a meal, this pub gives you a true taste of Ireland. Highly recommend stopping by!
