Couldn’t give enough praise to the team working at Nandos tonight. For a brand new restaurant with staff who are still finding their feet, I think everything went as smoothly as it could. Arrived around 20 past 7 and joined quite a long line but immediately after joining it, we were greeted by a lovely girl who politely told us it would be about 30 minutes until we’d be seated and asked if that was ok. We stayed in line, she gave us a menu and thanked us for waiting. About 10 minutes later the wait time was followed up by a manger who came out to speak to us. As we got to the top of the line we were greeted by a very polite guy, I believe his name was Greg. He kept us chatting as we waited a little more and was very friendly and sociable. He took us to our seats, asked about allergies and explained the ordering process to us. We did wait quite a long time for our food, but we could see how incredibly busy everyone was with new food constantly coming out onto the pass. Both managers were very busy coordinating food and staff and the team were very nice checking in with tables, informing about wait times, if we needed anything while we waited etc. Our food was delicious! We may have ordered a little too much but we enjoyed every bite. We were informed at the end of our meal that because of the long wait times, the manager wanted to give everyone dessert on the house which I thought was extremely kind. I took a chocolate gelato which was delicious. I wanted to leave a good review as both Greg and manager Becky were extremely lovely and looked after us tonight and to read so many bad reviews here is very upsetting. Wait times and uncertainty amongst staff is very understandable for a restaurant that has been open 2-3 weeks. For people complaining about empty tables and still having to wait, I think it’s great to see management looking after their staff by not overwhelming them by filling the restaurant if they’re struggling, as well as setting customer’s expectations than having us seated and then waiting all night for food as the staff can’t keep up. It all takes time but you’re all doing great! Will...

Read moreThe queue outside the door certainly raised my eyebrows! Finally got seated after about 15 minutes of waiting. We were told to order "on-line" even though we were seated at our table! The last time I checked, the Covid nonsense ended years ago! So we bit our lip, scanned the QR code, downloaded the app, waited for it to be installed on our devices, dodged the joining nonsense, and commenced ordering, as you can imagine the conversation was just riveting at out table at this stage! Guys- Basically the app is a joke, it asks you to make selections that simply are not there! and on the other hand, asks you to select more stuff you simply don't want. We gave up after about 10 mins of trying to wrestle with the app. We then asked a reluctant staff member for help! thinking we were just too dumb to order on-line! (I work in IT and customer service, and build websites for a living!) But to no surprise they could not get the app to work either! They had the same problems as us! They then suggested we try the "website" I asked if they had used it before, and the answer was no! The kids were getting impatient at this stage so we decided to leave for "Milano's" at the other side of the mall! where we would be served properly from start to finish, and we were.... it was both a "relaxing.. and an enjoyable experience" NOTE TO NANDO'S- If I go out to eat... and I'm spending €130 + on a family meal... a little organisation and "actual service" is expected. I want to actually enjoy the dining experience, chat with my partner and be served a nice meal. ... not a lot to ask for..! That's what I'm paying for! I don't expect to literally be asked to do the washing up as well... Not ONE of your staff has ANY 'people skills" BTW. And the "covid phone ordering thing" is utter...
