Thank you to Jacob Ladder’s team!! What a beautiful place to have a dinner next to the sea and enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine on the terrace. I recommend the Fresh Irish Mussels (20€) In a White wine & Herb Sauce, Garlic Bread, Fries. The quantity is widely sufficient and completely affordable for the price! You can take the Chicken Supreme (22.95€) It’s a pan-fried chicken with Garlic Butter and Truffle, Wild Mushroom and Port Cream Sauce, Served with Champ Potatoes and Buttered Market Vegetables. The sauce is just amazingly good! To finish, a gourmet dessert brownie (7.50€) with its vanilla ice cream that will delight your taste buds. I wish you a pleasant moment at this blue moon place!

Under egging my rating as I selected this restaurant based on other reviewers and don’t believe it should have the rating is does. This restaurant is connected to a hotel and not standalone. The service was a little slow and the food was questionable. I had the mussels and fries and they were overcooked and pretty much all separated from the shells. The shells were also all broken which left the sauce a little crunchy! The fries were also niblets of fat with no potato! My friend enjoyed the stew which he said was really pleasant. We were never asked how the meal was despite leaving a full plate and we decided to leave to an alternative restaurant to have desert which brought up our mood.

Had the fish cakes and fries. They come as a starter or main meal. Portions are large (as we've learned over the past 10 days in Scotland and Ireland) so if you ate a late lunch like I did, order the starter portion. Cakes were very tasty but a little on the rich side for me. My wife had the tomato basil soup which she said was good. My food came out hot and pretty quickly from the kitchen. Nice. The view out the sea side window was amazing. We were there at sunset.

Authentic fish and chips, tasty crab cakes with ethnic twist, and traditional chiwderts are some of the tasty meals toy can have at Jacob's ladder in cork. Along with great views of the water and a crisp breeze. The service could have been better though with attention to details, order customization and letting guest know the item they ordered is not available right away. Could have been a one off, but the place had good food.

Well, what can I say.... We don't often treat ourselves but tonight we did. While on holiday we booked a table here for 7pm and had the sirloin steak. Absolutely fantastic 😍 very very nice. The staff, every one were excellent 👌 and I had a bottle of Alcohol free wine which was lovely. Price was spot on for such a well ran place too. And the bonus was we got to see the most recent visiting cruise ship leave.

Jacob's Ladder was a nice stop along my tour. The menu had so many delicious options, it was hard to choose! You can sit inside or outside. If you sit outside, you'll likely get to see one of the cruise ships at Port. The restaurant serves alcohol, and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
