Supermac's & Papa John's Cobh — Restaurant in Municipal District of Cobh

One star is over generous, should be zero. Well where do.i start. ..I was visiting Cobh to meet my daughter who is a manager on a cruise ship in Cobh .I had two drinks In the pub with my partner, and I wanted something to eat. He didn't want one.,so.he.waited outside having a smoke. The man behind the counter , night ( 2/5/19 ), took my veggie burger order and said would I like to go.large. I said ok. He said it would cost more.as.i wanted milkshake. He said it would be nine euros plus( and I paid contactless from my Barclays account at around 9 pm. Maybe a mistake). Then he said would I like large fries or regular. ( bear in mind.he had said about going large for the meal already). The man said did I want a reciept , I declined , but with hindsight , wish I hadn't. He had a crumpled reciept in his hand, And.i think that sales assistant is shady. and would have given me this reciept instead. The machine didn't automatically kick one out. I will be checking with my bank

Got back to hotel to eat it. Not certain my burger was a veggie one. Having never eaten meat before, I have no way of being sure. But I thought it was awful. Worst I have ever had. I ended up binning it, and the chips were not great either, I binned most of them too. The Milkshake was fine. I felt unwell after eating at Supermac's ,.and into the next day, I wish I hadn't gone there.

Shame as I had been to some fantastic places in Cobh. Those places will get a good review. Avoid .. keep your hard earned cash .Oh and if you get off the cruise ship , it's sub standard to MacDonalds. So go in one of the many nice restaurants instead , you...

Fairly clean establishment visually. Customer service not great, female staff member with platted hair needs to do a course on customer service, poor quality addition to the place I got Chicken and chips for €9:95, poor quality frozen chips - the batter or coating on the Chicken was horrible, it actually tasted like the fryer has not been deep cleaned in months. Three good size portions of chicken which left me feeling sick afterwards. I remarked it to two local people I spoke to after I left and they both shook their heads and said, you would not know what they were cooked in and that neither of them would go in there. I went to the bathroom afterwards to wash my hands as not only was the meal served without salt, sauce or vinegar nor was I asked if I wanted any, but no napkins either. And guess what, if one needed to use the crapper, there was no toilet Paper.

I know this review won't be liked, however, I have never given a bad review to any place. This is the first time and I know they will try to defend it, but I am telling it like it is. I would not...

Staff literally shouting at one another. Bad enough but I ordered food for my family, including a pepperoni pizza. The pizza arrived with no pepperoni on it. The rude staff member who took my order was uninterested and rude and said they can’t take it back as there were bites taken! I spoke to another person who said they made a mistake and they would make another. Never arrived. When I approached a person who acted like a manager accused me of telling lies and that the pepperoni was under the cheese. My kids were unnerved by the whole thing but staff didn’t care and blamed us. Uninterested, terrible atmosphere and staff. I would never bring children into this simply awful place. UPDATE: corporate Supermac’s emailed me for more details but ultimately didn’t believe me. This added insult to injury. They obviously do not care about their customers. Shame on an Irish business. Don’t engage with them if they approach you....
