5/5 – Exceptional Experience at a Seafront Gem We can't thank Noel and his team enough for providing an outstanding three-course lunch for our group of 60. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and refreshing welcome drinks. Noel and his staff went above and beyond to make sure the afternoon ran smoothly, with impeccable service and attention to detail throughout. The food was absolutely delicious—piping hot, flavorful, and served flawlessly, even for such a large group. Every course was a hit with our guests, and it's clear that the kitchen takes pride in the quality and presentation of each dish. Noel was incredibly accommodating, communicating with us well in advance of our arrival to ensure everything was perfect. His professionalism and friendly demeanor made planning a breeze, and it truly showed in the seamless execution of the event. The restaurant itself is in a fantastic location right on the seafront in Cobh, making it an ideal spot whether you're stopping by with family or hosting a business event. We can't recommend it highly enough! Thank you, Noel and team, for an unforgettable afternoon and the exceptional service! We’ll definitely be back.

Come here for the ambience, especially if you can sit outside. Great view overlooking the bay, seeing boats passing, enjoying the sun. It is pricey for the quality of the dish that we got. My benchmark is always fish and chips. I believe it was 24 euro for fish and chips. The chips was well cooked, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Fish and Chips was good but does not blow my taste bud for 24 Euro. Daughter ordered kids burger and it came with just bun and patty (no sauce). We think we got the wrong order as kids from other table have a burger with vegetable and sauce. Ravioli was unique, for the price it was decent.

Great location, with some of the best views in Cobh and tasty food. Only thing that annoyed me is that staff are inattentive, nothing that a little bit of training wouldn't sort, because they are mostly young and don't know. Staff must be trained to be constantly vigilant of the tables and leave their own socialising until they are off duty. We had to ask for cutlery, salt, pepper, milk. Sad to hear that it is for sale. Massive potential here in this lively bar/restaurant

They need to work on their customer service and organisational skills! I tried to book a table online but got no reply so I rang and was told they weren't taking any bookings because they were busy, they were only taking walk ins. I found this a bit strange but presumed they were just doing walk ins because it was the regatta weekend. I arrived a few hours later and asked for a table only to be told they were only taking bookings! When I said I rang earlier and was told they weren't taking bookings, the guy said 'yea we're only taking walk ins but I've no tables' and he just walked off! He was very rude to be honest and didn't make any sense changing what he was saying. As we were there, a group of people were going in and I heard them saying they had a booking. He then showed them to a table. I don't understand how they could have had a booking if I was told earlier in the day that they weren't taking bookings. Then, when we were leaving a family came up and asked for a table and were told they could have one in 15 mins, after we were just told there were no tables! We left feeling very frustrated and confused. We saw more people going up to the door so decided to wait and see what they were told. They were told that it was bookings only! One minute they weren't taking bookings, only walk ins and the next minute they were only taking bookings. We were treated rudely and clearly different people were being told different things. We left Cobh and went to another restaurant where the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our experience there. We will not be returning to the Quays again to be...

Arrived for lunch around 13:30. Plenty of free tables and no big rush apparent. Ordered a kids meal and a starter to split and then two main courses. Kids meal and starter arrived without issue but then had to wait almost 90 mins to get mains. Asked 4 times for update on our meal to 3 different people and got nowhere. Manager didn’t seem to know what was going on as he delivered 3 separate meals to our table none of which were ours (would have kept them if they had been same as our order at this point). Eventually got our food after 6 tables had arrived after us, eaten, paid and left. Waitress to be fair kept apologising but no manager or anyone else came to talk to us or offer a drink or anything while waiting. Eventually I refused to pay for full bill (no offer to comp anything) until I spoke to manager. Manager basically told us it was our own fault for walking in during a busy period until I pointed out that we arrived BEFORE the busy period and still didn’t get mains. He clearly hadn’t a clue and only apologised once I stated I didn’t want an excuse but an explanation. Eventually we had 1 main comped but at that point I just wanted out of there. No excuse for this type of terrible service. On the plus side the food is good and the view is amazing so if you are waiting several hours to be served you could get nicely drunk and enjoy the view…..although with this staff they would probably want the table back...
