Shakira Indian Take-Away — Restaurant in South Dublin

We have been ordering from shakira around 13 years now.. over the past year or so it's gotten consistently worse. Forgetting items in our order on a number of occasions. Getting dishes with 3 bits of meat/chicken, really small portions.

Last night we ordered a meal deal as usual, we didn't receive a Naan bread we also recieved the wrong dish but said we would keep it (a korma instead of butter chicken). I called to ask where it was to be told the deal didn't include a Naan bread from a lady who was rude .I went on their website again to see it did. I called back and was told I should have gotten one and they would give us one the next time we order.

Its a pity because I used to really rate and recommend shakira but I can't remember the last time I got anything good, considering the price of it it's not cheap to be disappointed. I know sometimes food may not be as good and people have off days but to be consistently bad is another thing.

Got chicken tikka biryani, meat samosa, schicken tikka roll and the only dessert they serve which is shrikhand Let's start with the positive - the complimentary onion and pea gravy/sauce which comes with the biriyani. END Samosa? I expected it to have some flavour, the mince was boiled and tasted bland. Tikka biryani - sloppy mess. Fried rice with old tough chicken marinated in more food colour than actual spices, the rice was consistency was wet. And it had peppers. You unalived biriyani more than once. Please revisit the recipe and don't serve people shit food as they are paying for it Shrikhand - was far from what any shrikhand I have ever tasted. Had a metallic after taste. Who knows if it was even fresh, but barely passable. The food is horrible, I think it's meant to sayosfy white people pallets, ifykyk. Best indian take-away by far in the area . They're portions are generous and they're prices are very good. We order weekely from them, and they're customer service is very good. Even when we did an online order and it was received wrong, we called them and they came right away , picked up the food,made us new one and exchanged it with what we wanted free of charge. I haven't found yet anything in they're menu that I don't like, and I apreciate that they're menu is set on the level of hotness that you wish for.
